How to unlock the Invulnerable achievement in How to Train Your Dragon - Definitive Guide

This is quite easy if you have a Hideous Zippleback (the one with 2 heads). Keep using the combo "X X X Y Fire" (by "Fire" I mean the Right Bumper) and the opponents shouldn't even have a chance in hitting you. Beating Fishlegs will be hard because his dragons tend to block your combo and counter-attack it, but you can still kill his 4 dragons by doing the combo over and over again which will take awhile. Once you beat Fishlegs, the other ones will be pretty much easy and will die faster except for the last one which will be a new Legendary Dragon, but it's still easier than Fishlegs. I got this in my first try after I found out about that combo. You can use this to get other achievements like getting 50 perfect fights in the Arcade etc. Just keep trying till you master the combo. Hope this helps :)

This combo was a live-saver, first play-through was with Astrid and struggled against Fishlegs until I did this, barely lost my first life bar.
I had issue with Hiccup as his dragon is very quick and short range, but using the Nagger from range sorted him out.

When I did the Hiccup speed play-through I used this method through the whole tournament, my dragon was only level 15 and I would have gotten this achievement then if I didn't already have it.

As this is now top solution may want to mention that you can exit out of the tournament between each fight to heal dragons and save progress, thanks again

You have to beat 4 opponents without any of your dragons getting KO'd in the Fifth Tournament. When you select your dragon, just pick your best dragon and leave the other 3 slots blank. If you lose, quit game and reload. If you win, immediately save and then move on to the next dragon. The dragon's in this tournament are tough and it may take a few tries to get past them.

If you pass this tournament, can you go back after the game is complete?

I was having a lot of trouble with this until I used my Death Adder. He was only level 19, so if yours is stronger it can only help.

Amazingly enough, I got it pretty much by using the Y-Y-Y combo, over and over. Yep, I mashed the Y button all the way to the end. If you finish a combo and the enemy is dazed, throw off a fire attack (RB) and then immediately start mashing the Y again. You'll be able to do some decent follow-up damage right afterwards.

Good luck!

I found Night Fury to be good for this.

I used his forward, forward, X or forward, forward, Y to knock the opponent down then used Y,Y,X stun move to keep them stunned for the most part.

If you're still having problems, once you've knocked your opponent down you could keep using Night Fury's Forward, Forward, X or Y move to keep them down. You can run against your opponent and push him in a corner and you'll keep running. Just time it right to push X or Y. Takes longer but works well.

I used this solution for all of the battles in the final tournament, except for the first battle, which I used the Deadly Nadder (Astrid's starter).

I do recommend, that after every TWO sets of triple-Y combos, you do a dodge to left or right using LT or RT, as this means that when the opposing dragon comes to from his daze, he still has to turn to attack you, which gives you about 0.4 seconds to launch another attack. This time is needed against Astrid's four Deadly Nadder dragons, otherwise she will kick your ass because of the DN's long tail attack.

When I did my first playthrough with the Deadly Nadder I had all my dragons at 22 and but I only used Night Fury and I would get so mad bc I couldn't win, I used the (dash X) the whole championship and it worked ok but it took so long.

On my playthrough with Night Fury I leveled him up to 19 and I didn't even bother with the other dragons, I'm doing the tournament right now and I haven't even tried winning with 1 dragon but I've won every fight with only my level 19 Night Fury with (dash X) and (XXXXX), I've gotten 6 perfects and I'm about to fight Snotlout, this is way easier than my first playthrough, hope this helps someone

An easy way I found to do this was spamming Night Fury's triple y combo that can be repeated without fail if your dragon is fully upgraded

I found the Nightfury the easiest to do this, i chose only the Nightfury to play with to help workout attack strategies. Basically use a forward forward y followed by a XXXXY combo to attack as it is the quickest combo followed by a powerful hit, then occasionally dodge to the side (LT or RT). This worked for me after many tries usng the Deadly Nadder Y attack which i struggled with to perfect.

(MISSABLE) This can be one of the hardest trophies in the game. However, if you follow the following strategies, it shouldn't prove very difficult at all. First, make sure you have the strength and stamina stats for a Deadly Nadder maxed out. It wouldn't hurt to upgrade his speed so that he can do quick dashes as well. Also, you should obviously heal your dragon so that he goes into the tournament with full health. Be sure save before you enter the tournament.

Now, when fighting, you should spam the attack or the plain attack. At this point you should be comfortable with both. (See the road map for more details on these attacks). After each battle, you can exit the tournament and save your progress. Remember to only save if your dragon doesn’t get knocked out. If you do ever get knocked out, just reload the last save file and try again.

depending on which dragon you fight, if with quick combos then , and if the combos are slow, it’s better IMHO combo.

To get this trophy you must click to defeat the dragons. And you must never die!
