How to unlock the Maximum Break achievement in Hustle Kings - Definitive Guide

A 147 break in Snooker is achieved by potting all 15 reds, each one followed by the black, and then finally potting the 7 colors in the yellow > green > brown > blue > pink > black combination. To get this trophy you need a fair amount of both luck and skill, although it might sound harder than it really is. Go to Exhibition and start a snooker match against the CPU. Make sure that the aiming line is set to long.

If you're set to do the break-off, I suggest you restart the match and keep doing so until the CPU is the one breaking. Although it's very possible to get the trophy by doing the break-off I somehow found it easier when the CPU did it - could just be me though.

Anyway, let the CPU break, after which you should have a red to one of the corners at black. With long aiming line it's no problem potting the red, so focus a lot on getting a decent position on the black. With long line it doesn't matter if you run a little out of position on the black. Even if you can't see it, you should be able to pot it anyway. Continue potting reds followed by blacks until all reds are potted (you might have to break a possible remaining cluster of reds - do so in an ideal position on black, and do so early on in the break, so that even if the white runs far after the break on the reds, you still have reds to pot all over the table). Then clear the table by potting the colors, getting the 147 break on the black. In the process, you will also get Century Break.

As linked in the Intro, you will need to familiarise yourself with the rules of Snooker so that you know what the requirements of this trophy are and the scale of the task at hand.

In the Exhibition menu you will want to select 'Offline Exhibition' so you can do this one solo. In the next set of options, ensure the Aiming Line is set to 'Long' and the Shot Timer is set to 'None' and proceed through the next menu however you like as the baize colour and arena you play in are irrelevant. This next part is where the second controller could very well come in handy. The game by default will provide you with an AI opponent but if you have another controller you can hit the button and have a guest join and replace the AI opponent. If you have a second controller then you can eliminate the possibility of your 147 being spoiled before you get started. Ideally use P2 to manipulate the table and position reds as best you can before you take over as P1 and go for your maximum break.

Either way you'll want to avoid having red balls too far away from the black ball as it will make positioning very tricky indeed. It will very likely take several hours of practice before you can consistently get a good break but the only real advice I can give you apart from practice the hell out of it is to remember you can use special chalks by pressing during your turn. The Fusion King being particularly beneficial for the increased accuracy but even with this, you will still need to be very good at the game.

You will of course also unlock the Century Break trophy en-route to your 147 break.
