How to unlock the The Road Less Traveled achievement in INDIGO PROPHECY - Definitive Guide

As soon as you start the game, go to Options and change the difficulty to Hard. It’s better to just go through without completing trophies for completing some stages without Fails - it’s easier and better to complete them (especially the moment with the Oracle on the roof) on Easy after receiving this trophy.

I just finished all the chapters on Hard difficulty, they didn’t give me a trophy... the game is already boring... probably the reason is that I changed the difficulty and started playing through the choice of chapters from the first to the final on Hard. Why didn’t they give me a trophy?

There is another life in Chapter 38 in The Orphanage, immediately before the fight with the Oracle on the roof. At the end of the corridor in the room on the right.

In the chapter "The Storm" it will be difficult on Hard, especially if there are no lives.
This hint helped me:

Extra Lives Locations:
Chapter 4. Confession. We take the cross from Marcus.
Chapter 6. Alternate reality. In the drawer to the right of Lucas.
Chapter 15. Agatha. Behind Agatha on the nightstand.
Chapter 34. Fate in Russian hills. When entering the park, run to the right.
Chapter 42. Bogart. In one of the carriages.

If you have any difficulties with the Oracle, see the tips for the Leap of Faith trophy.

If after the first playthrough the trophy does not fall out. Start a new game on the same profile. The trophy will drop after the Child's play chapter. This happened to me and this was confirmed by several people on playstationtrophies.

There is no need to start a new game if the trophy does not appear. I didn’t get it, uploaded the save to the cloud, ran it through the selection of Child’s Play episodes with the choice of the third option (overwriting the save), after completing the chapter the trophy dropped out.

Let's start the game. In the main menu, select option and change only the game difficulty to Hard and nothing else, (this is important!!!) then we start a new game with training and don’t go into option again at all, so that this trophy doesn’t glitch and we don’t have to replay the whole game from the beginning . I also recommend playing through the entire game and not replaying chapters until you reach the end of the game.

I beat the game on Hard difficulty and got the trophy right away. At the very beginning, before starting the game, I set the required difficulty in the options and did not go there again. During the game, I completed all the QTEs, except for the “Face off” chapter, and tried to get trophies along the way, and in the end I got a good ending.
I hope it helps someone.

I played straight away on hard. The difficulty changed after a certain chapter. I completed it, performed the necessary actions for trophies on easy (for example, a fight with an oracle on the roof or shooting games in a shooting gallery on another), the trophy clanged, changed the difficulty on hard right there and moved on with the story. The trophy for hard fell without any problems. To complete the QTE, I wrote out hints on a piece of paper, made 4-5 clicks, then pause, looked, remembered, then 5-6 clicks. I suffered the most in the battle with two angels, the battle on the roof was not particularly stressful. Take care of lives. If you made a couple of stupid mistakes, then it’s better to replay than to pass the QTE, but be left with zero for further battles.

Situation for 2020. Everything in the game is still buggy, so it’s not a fact that the trophy will fall the first time, I got it on the second playthrough (yes, I went into the options after starting the game to turn off the vibration of the gamepad and this lost the trophy).
I highly recommend collecting all lives, there is no trophy for them, but they will be very helpful in long and, unfortunately, crooked QTEs. The difficult battle with the Oracle on the roof of the shelter (chapter 38) can be completed the first time if you have a maximum of 6 lives. Below I will leave a complete list of places where you can pick up extra lives:

Chapter 4 - in the dialogue, Marcus will offer a cross. Take it.
Chapter 6 - at the computer desk in the right drawer.
Chapter 15 - right behind Agatha in the bedroom on the bedside table.
Chapter 28 - in the bathroom of Tiffany's apartment.
Chapter 34 - When entering the abandoned amusement park, immediately go right.
Chapter 38 - in the shelter, in the farthest room on the right.
Chapter 42 - in one of the subway cars at the Bogart base.

I completed the game twice on hard, made a new save and set it to hard in the options before starting, both times it did not give any results, I completed it in one sitting without leaving the game

UPD: I decided to go through it for the third time, before passing it I deleted the saves from the console.
As I generally understand, the problem lies in the options, the first two playthroughs I went there to turn on the subtitles or just to see if the difficulty had gone down, apparently, when you go to the options, the trophy is blocked, so after you set the hard in the options, that's it, we don't go there again until the end of the game, I hope I'm right and this will help.
Also, you can’t change anything in the options except difficulty, everything should be at default

You can get a trophy by completing certain chapters in which you went into the options, if you remember, this will save you several hours.

I received the trophy immediately (after the beginning of the ending chapter).

At the time of writing this tip:
  • I didn’t find a glitch with entering options (they wrote that when entering options the chapter is not considered)
  • the trophy will be counted if you select an earlier chapter through chapters and complete the game to the end (I failed my mental health, I had to rewind and replay)
  • I set the difficulty to Hard in the Tutorial, so the game started right away on it
The main advice for the passage: there will be several difficult QTE battles during the passage, so leave lives on them and collect them to the maximum.

Additional locations lives :
  • Chapter 4. Confession. We take the cross from Marcus.
  • Chapter 6. Alternate reality. In the drawer to the right of Lucas.
  • Chapter 15. Agatha. Behind Agatha on the nightstand.
  • Chapter 28. The fugitive. In Tiffany's apartment, in the room with a shower (to the right of the main entrance).
  • Chapter 34. Fate in Russian hills. When entering the park, run to the right.
  • Chapter 38. The Orphanage. At the end of the corridor in the room on the right
  • Chapter 42. Bogart. In the far carriage.
If it seems that the battle is impossible, practice is the only thing. The combinations are remembered and in the end everything is completed.

There are 3 main difficulty battles in the game :
  • Chapter 6. Alternate reality. Battle with bugs. It makes sense to spend no more than 1 life
  • Chapter 17. The Storm. In a falling apart apartment. It makes sense to spend no more than 2 lives (in my opinion, the most difficult chapter, because there are a lot of QTEs with a limited time that need to be pressed almost instantly, but after an evening of practice everything is remembered and done)
  • Chapter 38. The Orphanage. Battle with the oracle on the roof. It makes sense to save more than 2 lives for this battle (i.e. 3 or more, so that there is room for 2 mistakes). It was in this battle that it seemed to me that the movements were quite logical and predictable, unlike other battles.
There is nothing complicated in the last chapter, because... there is one life left (from the carriage in the Bogart chapter) and QTE with snipers (after destroying the oracle) can be failed.
