How to unlock the Heavy Hitter achievement in InFamous 2 - Definitive Guide

Over the course of the story, you’ll unlock Ionic Powers that you can use. You'll unlock your very first Ionic Power, the Ionic Vortex during the story mission, "Storm's Coming". The other Ionic Powers will also be obtained as part of the story, but will be dependent on which karmic play through you're on.

These are activated by pressing on the D-pad. In order to use them though, you’ll need to collect Ionic Energy, which is represented as glowing purple orbs that are occasionally dropped and can be picked up from defeated enemies.

Use any of the Ionic powers 30 times, and the trophy will unlock.

Just press the down button every time you have an ion ball to trigger an ion storm. 30 times and you're done!

If you play as the bad Cole, you can of course get it faster, but if you play as the good Cole, you have to think about how not to harm civilians, and this is why the whirlwind is rarely used.
