If you're having trouble finding all the items, you can always use your hints. Unless you're actually trying to do it without using hints. If you do that, you should try to find as much as possible by clicking around (don't do it too fast though, then you'll rapidly lose time). When you can't find any more, simply quit to main menu to save it, re-enter your game and then use hints. Memorize where they are, quit to dashboard, and then when you get back into the game you will be able to find the items you're looking for. Repeat this for every level/item you need and you'll have this easily.
