How to unlock the Star Performer achievement in Interpol: The Trail of Dr. Chaos - Definitive Guide
**First off: Bust out that second controller of yours and load up the game in 2 player Co-op local. You will get TONS more score this way than in single player.
This will obviously take some practice and memorization of most of the items in a mission you are most comfortable with.
I stuck with San Francisco since it seemed easiest on the eyes for me. Make sure to pick up items in quick succession. You still need to pick up the bonus cards, but try to do it at the end or very beginning all at once (they do NOT keep your multiplier alive)
You will notice a bonus multiplier of 250, 500, or 1000 when you get each item in succession fast enough. You normally have 2 to 3 seconds in between each item to keep this alive. Focus on that, and of course use no hints.
Tap A rapidly to restart quickly if you feel you went too slow. When I got the achievement on San Fran, I managed to get just above 235000 score.

Unsure if the second controller helped, but it seemed to. Unlocked for both at 230.150 score, so 230.000 is probably the target.

Here are my stats for San Fran:
Time Remaining: 30.55
Hints Remaining: 6
No Hints Used Bonus: 5000
Total Score: 231000
Took me about 8 or 9 run throughs to figure out where everything was.

You have to get all the objects and all the calling cards as quick as possible. This popped for me with 31 minutes left on the clock. You can't make a mistake, and you can't use hints.
The easiest level to do this on is San Francisco (the first level)... Learn the positions of each object and go for it.
EDIT:
dwu1983 has informed that you can get it and make the odd mistake,

Finding it hard to get this achievement?
Then why not cheat?
Okay, it's not technically cheating, it's taking advantage of the save file system. As has been pointed out in the solution for the Just Said No achievement, if you go to the Xbox dashboard during a mission and then restart, you'll have to find the exact same objects in the level.
What's also true is that you can complete every single level in a mission save for the last one, quit to dashboard (not through the game but by using the xbox menu button on your controller while you are still in the mission) before clicking on the last item, and when you restart you'll have to find the same stuff you just did in every single level of the mission - which you should be able to get in record time and without mistakes, since you just clicked on all of them. I just finished the London mission this way and got the achievement on the first try.
Note that you should also be able to get the Wham Bam achievement (level complete in less than 30 seconds) this way, but as has been stated in the top rated solution for that achievement you can also just play the bonus level and it'll unlock no matter what your time is.
Credit to Dude Rain for pointing out the save system flaw in his solution for Just Said No.

Thank you, by far the easiest method. Just practice the same level for a few times to build speed finding the exact same items and worked like a charm!
Ended with 31:50 on clock still.
Mission Score: 234,000

Just done this and although both of the above are correct just a little bit of help on what I found to work, I did this with two controllers with a mate on the San Francisco. We managed to get this done as above about 5 times with no mistakes, all bonus found, no clues used, and the best time was 31.17 left and nothing. Then on one last play though I made a few mistakes used a hint but got all the cards and pop with a time of just over 30mins left. So general tip is that it would appear that you need to keep completing the level and it would randomly pop the achievement.
If you don't have a second controller (or 2nd profile you can log in on XB1), you can still get this fairly easily with the help pf a phone or tablet.
Load up the first mission, San Fransisco and as soon as it loads, take a picture of the screen. Be sure to include the list of items at the top. Then pause the game. You can now spend as long as you like looking at the picture to find the items.
I would suggest first finding the three bonus items (playing cards), unpause the game, select them all and pause again. Then find some of the items, unpause, select them and pause again. Keep doing this until you get them all for that level.
Do the same for the next two levels and you should get the achievement easily, since you are really only taking a few seconds to complete lthe levels.
It make take a couple of goes if you are unlucky and get an item that you cannot find, in which case just start again.
I got this on my third attempt this way.

Easiest to do in New York.
