How to unlock the I got Soul achievement in Jet Set Radio - Definitive Guide
Graffiti Souls are best left until you've got access to the Jet Technique challenges, which are available after you complete the Big 3 Levels (Explosion, Fight or Flight, and Benten Burning). The Bantam Street and Grind Square Jet Techniques are available in New Game + (i.e. after you've finished the game).
The 60 Graffiti Souls can be found in the following locations; many thanks to YouTube's Cackman for the video!
Note: the above video is based on the Dreamcast version of the game, so the Soul Numbers will differ (the Soul numbers are based on the resultant graffiti within the Graffiti menu).
I can't *exactly* cross-reference them, but I *think* the translation between the New Soul Number (in the HD version) and the Old Soul Number (in the video above) is as follows:
Souls 11-30 - no change
Souls 48-67 - subtract 3 to get the old Soul number
Souls 83-102 - subtract 4 to get the old Soul number
The other 47 graffiti in the Graffiti menu are unlocked via other means (usually by unlocking characters - i.e. the Love Shockers graffiti gets unlocked when you unlock the Love Shockers).
Note that you have to successfully complete a level to commit the Soul to your save file; if you run out of time or health, the Soul won't be saved. That's why it's best to go Soul collecting in Jet Technique mode; you've got a long time limit, and no opponents. Unfortunately, there's no way to regain health in Jet Technique, so be careful if you're constantly getting hit by traffic or falling off buildings a lot.
Due to his nimble nature, Pots can be a good choice when hunting for Souls, but he's also a very small character - which can make certain Souls really difficult. Slate is pretty good; he's got a really big hit-box, which makes it easier to grab Souls that appear to be just out of reach. He's also got a decent health bar; Garam is also pretty good.
Successfully collected Souls persist in New Game +, and uncollected Souls remain in the game for later collection.

Almost all bonus graffiti are not very well hidden and are not very difficult to find on your own. It is best to look for them on "Jet Technique" missions, because... in them everything is open and you cannot lose except by dying.
