How to unlock the Romeo Alpha Delta achievement in Jetpack Joyride - Definitive Guide

Using Super Head Starts in combination with obstacle affecting gadgets like the Dezapinator or the Missile Jammer can help prolong your runs. Also, S.A.M. runs can greatly increase your distance, sometimes by a few thousand.

These achievements are earned by surpassing the specified distance in a single-run of the game. "Romeo Alpha Delta" is likely the hardest achievement in the game. Reaching 5km is no small task and will take some significant skill and luck to reach. Some tips:

  • Have a revive to use at all times. Use it if you get close to 5km, say past 4km.
  • The gadgets that work best will depend on your personal preference and weaknesses. The Dezapinator, Turbo Boost, Lucky Last, Ezy-Dodge Missiles, and Gravity Belt are all decent choices. Play around a bit and choose the best match. NOTE: You will need to play the game a lot beforehand to earn enough coins to purchase the later gadgets.
  • Have a big blast to use if you fall short. It can boost you ahead around 400 meters from where you die.
  • When going fast, it is best to attempt to hover in the middle of the screen. That way you can quickly make the maneuver, either up or down, to avoid the rapidly approaching obstacles.

This is the most challenging achievement of Jetpack Joyride since it requires you to travel 5km in a single run. This is largely skill based, but your choice of gadgets will greatly impact your success. I personally would recommend the “Dezapinator” and the “Turbo Boost” for the gadgets. The “Dezapinator” has a 10% chance to cause a zapper to fail, allowing you to pass through unharmed. The “Turbo Boost” randomly spawns three boost rings which quickly advances you a few hundred meters without any zappers or missiles. Make sure to stock up on “Revives” in the Utilities menu of the Stash (10,000 coins) and only use them if you have successfully passed the 4000m mark, otherwise you can very easily waste 10,000 coins.

Finally, try to hit all vehicle tokens and collect all slot tokens. The vehicle tokens provide a breather where the speed is slowed down for a few hundred meters. The slot tokens can be very critical at the end if you fall short and need either a bomb to push you past the 5km mark or a revive to get you back in the run.

Personally, I would not recommend head start items since they do not give you much of an advantage. The hardest part is between 3,000-5,000 meters and using head start items is a waste of coins.

Be prepared, this will most likely take multiple tries to complete.

To get started, buy the Turbo Boost and Lucky Last gadgets. Then we buy Super Head Start, Final Blast and Quck Revive. As soon as you buy it, exit the game and write the save to a flash drive / cloud storage

We start the game using Super Head Start at 60 meters. As soon as you get out of it, we play and try to collect cars. When you get into a car or crash it, then el. chains and missiles are destroyed automatically. Also, destroying a car gives you one mistake. When you are not in the car, we go through the Turbo boost portals. Chains and missiles passing through them are destroyed. In case of death, use Quick Revive. In case of repeated Final Blast. If you collected Tokens along the way, then press the lever when the last triangle near it (lever) lights up. It has the greatest chance of winning. If you're lucky, you'll get another life or a bomb that will add a few meters to your score. The last token will be the winning one thanks to the Lucky Last gadget. Which, again, with a happy coincidence of circumstances, will help you gain the required number of meters.

If it doesn’t work, load the previously recorded save and try again. I got it like that the second time

Air Barrys + Gravity Belt

We run along the ground, pause every second = any amount of time to think about how to get around any obstacle

No “luck”, I took 5k on the first try

On Vita you can save your save using a backup of the game on PC/PS3. But it’s easier to do ragequit and close the game if the attempt fails.

There is an alternative method of passage. Buy everything that Sirogabober wrote. After that, we start running. There is no need to break anything, play as is. Try to run through the turbo boost laps so you have a better chance of completing the 5K. If you couldn’t fly that far, we spend all the caught tokens except the last one. Don't use the last one! We exit after an unsuccessful attempt through the PS button, and not through a pause. The game will NOT be saved, which means there is no need to reset the save. Everything will be in place. So do it until you run 5K. I passed this method the 6th time.

You will have to fly 5 km in one game. This means one pass only. Try to use as many vehicles as you can, buy revives from the store and try not to die.

To make the trophy easier, buy some gadgets: Dezapinator, Missile Jammer or Ezy-Dodge Missiles to dodge lasers and missiles.
