Missable!!: If you beat the final boss this achievement becomes unobtainable.

You can go for this achievement at anytime after picking up 5 canisters of fuel. Even though leaving the planet technically ”finishes” the game, once you skip the credits you can spawn right back in your ship and can play the rest of the game and finish all the other objectives.

I can confirm that this achievement is missable should you fight the final boss before doing it.

The best course of action is to grab 5 fuel as early as possible and then, "end the game". Once the game has been completed, you can always reload the save right before leaving and continue progressing through the story.

Ok can I still get the Home at Last achievement if I go home when I get the 5 canisters of fuel? Or will I have to do a whole new playthrough?

@Functional Mute: When you leave the planet early by getting the 5 fuel canisters just skip the credits and continue your save and you spawn back in your ship right before you launched. You can then complete the game 100%.

Stupid question, but will we know when we are at the final boss? I only ask, because so far they just have kinda appeared without warning in the world as I’m progressing. Just don’t want to accidentally get stuck in a fight that I can’t get out of to do this, if that makes sense.

@zDrunkenMonkeyz As soon as you get 5 fuel canisters travel home via the javelin. Once you get to the 3rd area. Don't do anything with the towers. This is at least how I handled it.

🤔 I’m in the 3rd area with the towers looking for the stomp power up. Does this mean I have access to all of them now?

@zdrunkenmonkeyz You can get all your powers which will be helpful for some of the fuel canisters. Just don't do: Investigate the Tower, Fixau's Trial, Sychi's Trial. To be safe until you got this cheevo.

There is an ability you unlock that shows you were they are @onnovdw. Make sure you are doing the science objectives.

I'm near the end boss, can someone tell me if Is right to go home instead beating him and then i'll respawn with my progress? I don't want to waste a week of game. Thanks

Please note that this achievement CANNOT BE EARNED IN OLD GAME MINUS. Regardless of whether you have the fuel or not, you cannot launch the javelin prior to beating the final boss in old game minus making this achievement completely unobtainable in that mode, whether it be single player or coop.
