How to unlock the Hard as Nails achievement in Jurassic: The Hunted - Definitive Guide
Note: The achievement is slightly buggy. I played the first level on hard and stopped for the night. I went back and continued on a day later on hard. Every level appeared to have been beaten on hard. So after playing the last level a second time, I tried by playing the first level again and Ding! Hard as Nails. The only thing I can say is try to do the game on hard at one time.
To get this achievement without any gliches you must complete the game on hard in one sitting do not quit or restart a level if you died just load last checkpoint, after you complete the last level don't skip the cut scene and the achievement should unlock normally after the loading screen.
Here are some tips about boss battles:
# In level 8 when you need to kill the 2 T-rex bosses with the stationary gun just ignore the flying dinosaurs that are coming from left side they won't hurt you just keep killing the ones that are coming from the middle and right side.
# In level 11 when you are fighting spike for first time use the light machine gun and keep running from ammo box to another by this way you will kill him faster than any other weapon if he trapped you just keep shooting him with your light machine gun and if you run out of ammo just switch to any other weapon and shoot him and he will drop you.
# In level 14 (Last level) use the automatic shot gun and position your self in the top left side and keep shooting spike in his chest near the neck (This is where his heart located) and in the face it will take some time take him down but i believe this s the fastest way.
Good luck
In Hard mode, everything plays the same, with the exception that you have less health. The AI isn't smarter, the enemies don't take more hits to kill. If you did the no-death playthrough, you should have all the skills needed to avoid lethal damage on this setting.
On the first level, you will have to press down on the D-pad to view a skeleton. Up and to the left of it is a new gun. This energy gun has unlimited ammo and deals a ton of damage towards the non-boss enemies. It will be your main weapon during 95% of this playthrough. The only times I didn't use it was during the two battles against Spike, where a combo of the heavy machine gun, rocket launcher, and grenades did the most of the work.
During the T-Rex fight, use your adrenaline when the flying enemies get overwhelming, and aim for the T-Rexes' leg to knock them down so they don't bite you.
After you beat the game on normal, hard difficulty becomes available as well as the plasma rifle. You can either start a new game altogether or go to mission select. The best way to do this, however, is kind of in between. You should go to level select, choose the first level, and select the hard difficulty. Then you should play through the levels in sequence. This way all of your normal run stats carry over and you can get the plasma rifle right away. Should you decide you want to skip around and not complete the levels in sequence, you can. You will know if you’ve completed a level on hard difficulty if an icon of the main character appears on bottom center of the level at the level selection screen.
Some more info on the awesome plasma rifle: Very early in the first level (on hard difficulty only), you will come across a fallen comrade’s uniform. The plasma rifle is just above him. This gun shoots an extremely powerful plasma burst and has unlimited ammo. The only draw back to the gun is that it can only fire five shots back-to-back before having to recharge. This gun will make your hard run very easy, even though it’s not that hard to begin with.
One final remark: It is possible that the trophy does not pop after you finish the last level on hard. In this case, replay the first level and the trophy should pop upon completion.
