The achievement can be done either offline or online if you don't have another mic. From the Main Menu select "Sing", "Duets", "Head To Head" to do this offline/locally.
Pay attention playing online, when you create a match put Duet OFF and remember to select "Play Song", not the Setlist. If you select Setlist or put Duet, it doesn't count as Head to Head match.
The songs can be in short mode as well.

The game counts both offline and on-line rounds for this trophy. If you only have one mic, you will need to do it on-line. If you have two Mic's, you can do it offline. From the Main Menu select "Sing", "Duets", "Head To Head" for offline play.
