How to unlock the Endurer achievement in Katamari Forever - Definitive Guide

A relatively straight forward trophy that just requires you to survive long enough during the punishment mini-game until you reach 50,000 points.

To access this mini-game just fail any request and you will be transported to a simple game where you need to dodge falling rocks launched at you by the King/RoboKing.

A great way to boost this is to play the Hot Stuff request found in the King's Cosmos. This is the stage where you need to collect hot items and avoid cold ones. Just speed over to a group of cold items and collect them, this should make for a quick fail.

Once the mini-game starts make sure to lose your first two lives as this will make dodging the rocks easier. Also, if you were to get hit while still having more than one life it will slow down your point accumulation.

After you are left with one life walk over to the right side of the screen and you should be able to just stand there. Most rocks will miss you, but some can still hit so make sure to move out to the left every now and again if you see one coming.

I hope this helps and have fun!!

For whatever reason, this game can be easier or harder depending on which cousin you're playing as. They're all different shapes and sizes, and this translates as them having differently-sized hitboxes in the punishment mini-game.

Myself and other players have had the most success with Cousin Drive - the boxy orange cousin who rolls around on a wheel. He appears to have a very thin hitbox, which gives him more chance of avoiding the falling rocks, and means that some rocks can appear to intersect him without connecting with his hitbox and scoring a hit.

The overall strategy is simple: head to the far left of the screen and stay there for as long as possible, only moving if you absolutely need to in order to avoid a rock. The random patterns of the rocks and Cousin Drive's smaller hitbox means you should have a decent chance of getting to 50,000 without needing to do very much at all.

This may be one of the more tougher/luck trophies in the game. Whenever you fail to do a request for the King or RoboKing, you will be brought to a little mini game where you are being punished and must avoid erupting rocks. To gain points you must just survive, over time your points add up faster but the rocks release faster. The best strategy for this is to just move the prince/cousin to the very right side of the screen, you can avoid the rocks more then half the time and every so often have to move your character to the left to avoid alittle bit. Rememeber you can ony take 3 hits but if your hit early on don't worry as it is easier to evade when your hit 2 times. In fact I encourage you to hit yourself twice early on because if your hit later your points slow down and don't add up as fast. If you want a fast level to quickly fail on to be brought to the mini game, try the Campfire level and burnout your Katamari in the river, or the 10,000C level and run into ice cream to burn out.

This is one of the hardest trophies in the game as it relies heavily on luck. Every time you fail a King or RoboKing mission, you'll be thrown into a mini-game called "punishment" where you have to avoid being hit by fire rocks. In it you will receive points for the time you stay alive, and the longer you live, the more often stones will fly out. The only correct strategy here is to move your character to the very right corner of the screen. In this position, most of the time you will avoid getting hit by rocks by simply doing nothing. In other cases, you will need to move a millimeter. Remember, you can only miss three stones before the game ends, but don't worry, if you missed two hits at the very beginning, nothing bad happened. Moreover, I recommend that you lose two lives, as this reduces the character in size and it will be easier for you to escape from the stones. The easiest levels to lose are the “Campfire” level, where you only need to drown Katamari in water, and the “10,000C” level, where all you need to do to lose is run over an ice cream.

Don't waste your nerves trying to complete this mini-game - it's stupidly random. First, take the Drive character, he seems to have smaller hitboxes, as they say. Secondly, at the very beginning of this game, lean against the left wall and go about your business. Nothing depends on your movements and attempts to calculate the trajectory, so don’t torture yourself again. After n number of attempts you will get the trophy.
