This trophy requires that you fail a request 50 times. Once you fail a request you will be brought to the Punishment mini-game.
You could play the mini-game (a great way to try for the Endurer trophy which requires you to gain 50,000+ point in this) while trying to achieve the trophy as well. But if you are in a rush you can just hit the start button and it will skip the mini-game and bring up the restart menu.
A great stage to boost this trophy is the Hot Stuff request in the King's Cosmos. Once the request starts just pick up as much cold stuff as you can and you will fail relatively quickly. On average it took me about 10 seconds per try.
Once your goal has been met your trophy should pop once you return back to the stage select area.

This trophy would not pop for me. I definitely failed requests and saw the punishment mini game well over 50 times.
I did some googling and found that pressing start to skip the mini game will cause problems, so I instead allowed my guy to get hit thee times and fail the mini game, then chose to replay the level. After about 10-15 cycles, the trophy finally popped. And I didn't need to "quit" and return to the main area- it popped while loading up the level after choosing "replay."

Instead of the Hot Stuff level mentioned above, I found it much easier on the Camp level. Just roll straight ahead and to the left at the beginning of the level, and go straight into the water. You will fail the level in about 4 seconds. And do it on Katamari Drive mode so you can get to the water faster.

You get punished by not completing a request, so I suggest you go to the heat level where you must warm up your Katamari to 10,000C and just ruin it to 0 so you get punished. Do this 50 times, and when your being punished, do not hit start then hit play again, to be on the safe side let yourself die or just try to play the punishment mini game.
