How to unlock the Valor Grand Cross achievement in Killzone 2 - Definitive Guide

Unobtainable due to server closure

Achieve weekly online honor rank #4 This means that during one single week you need to be one of the top 1% of all the players during that week. say that there is 500.000 playing, you need to be ranked at least 5.000 at the end of the week. A game week starts officially at 12:01am GMT.

Now to get into the 1% you need to score at least 9000 points, since around 55000 people play in a week => you need to be above 550, but this does not mean that you need to score 9000 points, but this is the threshold that you need to reach and see, so that you are somewhere in the top 200-250 for the week, since everyone can be shifted down 100 or even more positions.

Let me give you an example: on Sunday evening at 7 o’clock I was watching and was in 200th place. 3 hours pass and I’m already at 275th, so the higher you get in the rating table, the better.

It’s best to score points in deathmatch, since with ribbons you get around 3-4 points for a kill (4 points are given for headshots). To score more points, it is better to play on small maps for the engineer class with air support; with this tactic you can get from 100 to 150 points per battle without multiplying by 1.5 for a victory. If your team loses and there is room in someone else’s team, go to it, the points will not be reset. In this way, you can score 600 points in an hour in a win-win game.

Now the statistics for the current week, day and month are no longer loaded, but the trophy still appears.

At the moment there is a problem with the servers, the statistics are saved either partially or are not taken into account at all) a solution to the problem has not been found, everything is saved completely randomly, the only way out is to play play play ..

I found myself in a situation where the entry threshold of 1% was more than 4000, and last week it was exactly 3000. In my week there were a lot of boosters, so I had to score at least 4500, it’s better to play it safe and score 5000-6000 - then you’ll probably get it. With my six thousand I ended up in 7th place.

In 2016, the requirements became much lower. There are about 2500-2700 players per week. I played for fun, didn’t score any points, and with a score of 4628 I accidentally got a big cross. Judging by the current statistics, 3500 is already more or less enough for a cross, but I recommend scoring 4000-4500 points in a week, this is almost guaranteed to give a cross. Play only clearing games, with upgraded medals for kills and headshots. Very often the games “Radec 200 blood” and “No radar, fools” pop up in searches. Radec 200 often has very experienced players, but you can still fight with them, but No Radar has the advantage of being able to play as a stormtrooper and take down opponents with a bazooka if you have at least a little skill. The downside is that the statistics are not always saved (if everything I played in a week was saved, then in the end there would be about 6500 points).

Tips and Recommendation for 2013:

Guaranteed entry threshold of 1% at the moment = 7000 .

On average, 11 to 12 thousand people play per week, you need to focus on the top 100. Always

It is critically important to have the “Cutthroat” ribbon; there is a gap between 2-3 and 3-4 (points) in the end.

You still need to hit 1000+ per day, but my advice is to hit it as much as possible, because on weekends there is a large influx of “boosters” + veterans are constantly playing, for whom the 7,000 bar is 1-2 days of play. They'll throw it off easily

And most importantly, most of the people in the top 100 are veterans who have long had a Grand Cross. 50-60 percent. Based on this, even people with extensive gaming experience will not be able to score a lot of points often . Some days. The recipe for success is simple - play as many hours as possible , tune in, make a schedule. It works 100%

Ps: I decided to devote 3 days entirely to this trophy, I started on Thursday and finished on Saturday. 2-3 hours of play followed by an hour or two of rest. I changed teams for the odds, played strictly 1st class (with air support), no attention to ribbons, only points. Map "Radek Academy", mode "Cleansing" without RPG, 30 minutes each. He rarely took first place in the team, but due to the large amount of playing time he was able to enter the top 10 three times at the end of the game day (8th, 5th and 7th places, respectively).

How to play is up to you, but I don’t recommend the “ 3 days for the Grand Cross” method to anyone, not even an enemy.

Same requirements for 2014! It’s better to dial 10-12 thousand. You need to boost with three or four people, because you will get much more points + pumped up ribbons are needed (headshots, clearing) I haven’t met any moderators - you can safely set a password and play for 3-4 hours a day from Monday to Friday, and track statistics on the weekends. On Monday morning we go in and are happy that we won 4 trophies (for 9, 6, 3, 1%), or maybe someone just for 1%.

To be honest, the difficulty of this trophy is 2 out of 10 even without boost. It all depends on your skill and time online. The greater your skill, the greater the number of points, the faster you will take this prize. But if you play really poorly, then you just need to play a lot. Let's sit down to play at the beginning of the week. Let's check the jump in points earned by people who were in the top 1% last week and score about the same. It's better to play only the clearing and when you've pumped up all the medals. Let's go to small maps. The best tactic is a machine gun or SMG for headshots. The shotgun is also not bad. You can also choose turrets + air bots. If you play well and are on the winning team, you can get 200 points in 10 minutes => about 1200 in an hour
