How to unlock the Card Master Sora achievement in Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories - Definitive Guide

Before being able to unlock this trophy, make sure you have completed Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days HD and have a clear save file of Reverse/Rebirth. Having these will enable you to obtain secret cards required for this trophy.

Completing all of the Card Index is easily the grindiest part to the for this game. For Sora, you must collect all of the cards including all Map Cards such as the Random Joker (which should be obtained through natural progression). Most cards you will get naturally or through the moogle shop, however the cards you'll have to worry about and go out of your way for our the Key to Rewards, Calm Bounty Cards and Enemy Cards. You can view all the cards on the KingdomHeartsWikia KH Re:COM Cards Page.

Room to Rewards (385/2 Days Required)
In each world there is a locked room with a requirement for the "rare" Key to Rewards card; in the beginning of the game the card is pretty rare, however after your first fight with Larxene they start to appear more often. You can only hold one of them at a time so every time you pick one up, plan on using it in the current world you're in or in the next world if you already opened the "Room to Rewards" in the world you're in. After they start to spawn more often you can obtain them easily through the first area of each world that has no Map Card effects.

Normally these Rooms give you one bonus, each of which are normally a new sleight, however if you have 385/2 completed you will have an additional treasure chest awaiting you in each room which are all Enemy Cards for members of Organization XIII, which are required for the trophy. If you complete 385/2 Days after opening a room, the room will reappear and you can open it again for the treasure later. For more details on the Key to Rewards and the treasures you receive from it, please refer to the KHInsider Key to Rewards Card Guide.

Reverse/Rebirth and Game Completion
Before you can get certain cards in the game you must have a clear save file of Reverse/Rebirth as well as made it to the point in the game where you fight Marluxia. Once you have met this criteria you can unlock special cards through Calm Bounty (or other Bounty cards) in special worlds. Those cards consist of:

  • Diamond Dust (Any)
  • One-Wing Angel (Twilight)
  • Ultima Weapon (Any)
  • Lexaeus (Any)
  • Ansem (Twilight)
  • Zexion (Destiny Island)

Well these are available at this point, though their appearance is random so you aren't guanrateed the card you want the next time you use a Bounty Card. The harder ones to get are the 3 that can be obtained in any world. Keep using Bounties and pray you get the ones you're missing.

Enemy Cards
This will be the bane of your existence, you must obtain every enemy card in the game which has an insanely low drop rate. You can obtain a heartless enemy card by killing them last in battle; you can increase the drop rate by 2.5 with Map Cards such as:

  • Teeming Darkness
  • Almighty Darkness
  • Looming Darkness

Despite the increase the rate is still very low, there are no factors to influence the drop. Sometimes the game just works against you and decides not to drop anything. If this becomes the case, reload your save and reset the random factor and hope its in your favor. Besides this, you have 3 specific heartless you must also keep careful watch on which are as follows:

  • Black Fungus (Black Room)
  • White Mushroom (White Room)
  • Barrel Spider (Teeming Darkness)

What make these heartless a bit special is the fact that the first two can only be encountered through Map Cards. When aiming for them you want to collect a large amount of copies of the respective Map Card and go for broke at that time and attempt to get their enemy card. If you use them all up and resulted in no enemy card, reload your save and try again.

With the Barrel Spider you can find this in multiple worlds, however if you are trying to grind it out you can use the Teeming Darkness Map Card in Agrabah where there is guaranteed to be barrels, one of which containing a Barrel Spider. If you use up all your Teeming Darkness Map Cards trying to get the enemy card, reload your save and try again. If you need to stock up on those cards you can use the Roulette Room card.
