Here a list of Side quests and Factions quests listed alphabetically.

There is a Task called Hearts of Chaos where you have to turn in the Chaos Hearts you get for closing a portal, to Agarth. This task is actually a quest because when you close all 25 portals and turn in the hearts, the achievement progress moves.

Edit: Oct 30, 2022 - Some people are saying you don't have to close all 25 portals and the achievement unlock for them.

If you choose to lie and keep "Maisie's Ring" in the relevant quest, as opposed to returning it to the quest giver, the quest will mark as completed but not count towards this achievement. Thanks to Niku no Nioi for pointing this out. This is probably why it didn't unlock for me on my first play through because I remember keeping the ring on my first play through and giving it on the second play through.

If you're doing a second play through, be extremely careful not to explore and do too much and only do/accept quests when a quest giver is available.

Achievement progress randomly stopped tracking around 34%

I've completed all quests listed here:

...and I'm stuck on 96%.

I did "accept" the Headhunters and The Tree and the Branches quests by accident, since I killed/looted and triggered those 2 quests. Really hope I haven't screwed myself.

I haven't closed all Chaos Portals yet - but that's listed as a Task for handing in the Chaos Hearts.

Anybody still stuck with this not unlocking?

How do you do of life and death it says to talk to gnome called Effie but game won’t show or tell you where he or she is.

Effie didn't look like a gnome to me - he was a human. Bring up the local map and hoover over the white NPC icons and you should see him.

Yeah. I think it's because I triggered the quest "Of Life and Death" by checking the house, not accepting it via the questgiver. Unless they patch it, I guess I'll have to replay the DLC and be careful the second time.

That sucks. Sorry about that. I remember keeping the ring on my first play through and giving it on the second play through. I'm glad it did that.

Well ... I can confirm that the tracker does not move if you complete "The Giant Killer" by accepting the quest incorrectly. In a feat of absolute brilliance, you will have to avoid killing and looting any of the giants before speaking to Brogan MacQueen in Crow's Peak.

This DLC is beyond frustrating, especially in regards to this particular achievement.

On my second play through I was extremely careful not to explore and do too much and only do/accept quests when a quest giver was available.

They really need to fix this because redoing this takes a lot of time especially closing those damn 25 Chaos portals.

When can I do the preparations task? Before I set sail, forever leaving Amalur, I’am assuming because she wants me to get rid of Telogus. That it’s after I defeat him, but everything I read says that you are immediately whisked back to Rathir and told you must leave Amalur.

Once you beat Telogus you do the Preparations quest. You activate the quest and do it.

On the Preparations quest if you hunt in the area past Fennin, you can kill crabs along the beach, and get crab meat. I didn’t realize you needed that as well as meat.

I have done all side quests and faction quests listed and my tracker is at 96%. Closing the portals and given hearts to that guy did not do anything for the achievement tracker.

Just wanted to add, to help out anyone who may be confused with the "Of Life and Death" quest... after you inspect the bodies and destroy the first crystal and you have no yellow circle telling you where to go, look on the road off of the waterfall before you get to the broken bridge and the quest giver. There should be a patrolling soldier with a ? above his head who will tell you about the shack and suspicious noises. I think this is the natural progression the game wants you to take the quest in because after this everything tracked properly for me after many failures and I was able to complete the encounter with the Necromancer without any issues or bugs.

Just replayed the entire DLC and finally unlocked this. I did not need to close all 25 Chaos Portals, but I did give Agarth the hearts I got during the 7 story portals, so I would have "completed" that task.

I can also confirm you don’t need all 25 Chaos Portals for the achievement. That being said I think I only turned in two of the hearts for mine as my task page is at 2/25.

This can also bug out due to the Giant Killer quest. I don't recall there being an item when killing the first two 9 hours of play time ago but apparently there was and I missed it somehow. So now I have 2 bags that I can't do anything with and would have to restart the dlc to get.

Yeah I'm bugged too. checked the list twice, finished the story (once before finishing all the sidequests and once after), handed in all the hearts, chased the deer, pretty much all the other tasks. Stuck at 96%.

Really don't feel like redoing everything especially since now that the marker is at 96% I won't even know if one of them doesn't trigger it

"save often and in different slots" yeah that doesn't help when there's a limited number of slots and there's 3 expansions and you're doing EVERY SINGLE SIDEQUEST

Mine was stuck at 87%
reloaded a save from after the main game, and did everything again. This time Closed the game after playing. Just to be sure Quick Resume wasn't the problem.
It started to go up in the end, but when i did the final quest. It did not go up.
So reloaded a save and did the last 3 quests again. This time it popped.

I somehow killed the Root Golem before I got the quest "The Giant Killer" and now this whole achievement is screwed.

After finishing this today, my advice is to check your tracker after every side quest completed. It should go up after every one finished. Make a save right before turning the quest in to complete it. If it doesn’t go up, (like it didn’t for me quite a few times) reload the save right before turning the quest in. Sometimes, you may have to wait a couple minutes for the tracker to update.

My tracker was going up until it reached 96% then it stopped had 2 side quests left and neither of them counted towards the tracker. This will not get fixed ever since developer refuses to fix the achievement.

I was wondering after you accept the Giant Killer quest, how do you complete it? With a party or by yourself, because I can’t find party members and the 2 times I have killed them all myself Brogan freaks out on me.

I want to add some personal experience with this achievement as well as use this space to consolidate a bit of info I’ve found elsewhere on the internet.

Crafting Made Simple was my last sidequest that was unaccounted for. There was no exclamation point above Jock’s head indicating he had a quest and I assumed that I had done the quest because it was so simple. Double-check your quest log for this one.

PSNProfiles pointed out that Ivan’s Favor is absolutely missable. Talk to Ivan and do the quest immediately after you finish Mysterious Monoliths.

Somebody in a Steam thread said that Listening to Echoes might be missable as the quest log states the musicians will only perform for four nights. Use the nearby inn to sleep until night and complete this quest when it becomes available.

Hearts of Chaos did not advance progress on my achievement tracker which is contrary to what OP said. The tracker stayed at 87% and my remaining four side quests added the usual 3-4% each. Giving the hearts to Agarth was not the last thing I did so I also cannot attest to whether or not the task must be done for Customer Service.

It should be noted that you can‘t do „Crafting Made Simple“ after the main quest „Crucible“, because the quest giver Jock MacNelly (usually outside Skald’s Forge) will be gone after that quest. Very frustrating if you have done the majority of the side quests already.

There are a total of 32 quests to complete for this achievement. It's important to note that two of the quests can be failed if you don't do things in the correct order. For "Stolen Ticket" you must ensure you are not caught while stealing from Dolan Hardy or he will not speak to you anymore and he is needed to finish the quest. And for "The Raid" you must ensure you have completed another quest ("Ivan's Favor") first, and to avoid spoilers I won't mention why but it's very important you do them in that order.
