How to unlock the No Destiny, All Determination achievement in Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning - Definitive Guide

This achievement is unlocked when you complete the main quest, “The Coming Storm.” It is story related and cannot be missed. The quest is available when you complete the two pre-requisite main quests, “Old Friends, New Foes” and “The Hunters Hunted.” Completing both these quests triggers “The Coming Storm.”

Go to the Gardens of Ysa. Enter the doorway to The Font. Follow the path and enter The Court of Summer. Place the codex on the pedestal as indicated by the amber arrow quest marker. Following the ensuing dialog with High King Titarion, you will receive your quest reward and unlock the achievement. as shown in the following twenty second video:

Just to note I have just noticed that this never unlocked for me, received the twist of fate but did not get the achievement, must not have been paying attention when this was due to pop now I am way past this point with no save that far bac so will have to do an additional playthru and rush it to this point, so just a heads up to keep an eye out for this (well all story progressions I guess)

No sadly I havent a save that far back so will have to start over (was doing 1 playthru) so will stick on easy and just rush the main storyline when I have finished this main playthru, only noticed it hadnt unlocked when I looked on TA and saw this story progression one sat there locked, my fault for not checking that it was sposed to unlock at that point as I would have tried it over again

That’s too bad especially since it’s supposed to be an automatic achievement. However, it won’t take long to fix. Focusing purely on the main quest will get you to that point in very little time as you probably know.

Good luck. Since you've had an issue, I'd recommend clearing the cache just as a minor precaution.

I'd have preferred if Perfectionist had been left off the list. It was not in the 360 version--only the PS3 version.

Hopefully, you have a save made before this achievement and can redo it. First, use a save made just before the achievement unlocks. A number of people have complained about achievements lagging or, in your case, not popping when they should. That's why I've tried to include very short videos demonstrating when the achievement is supposed to pop.

Second, if replaying the part just before the achievement is supposed to unlock does not work, (providing you have the save files, go back and do the two quests “Old Friends, New Foes” and “The Hunters Hunted” in the reverse order you played previously.

Question: Is your strategy one playthrough or two playthroughs. If the latter, I wouldn't worry too much because you'll get it the second go-around. Also, just to be on the safe side reverse the order in which you did the above-mentioned two quests.
