How to unlock the Perfectionist achievement in Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning - Definitive Guide

This achievement should unlock immediately after you unlock your 61st achievement in the game. There is a rare glitch that has affected two TA gamers that I know of as of this writing. One was able to remedy the glitch, the other, till now, has not.

Recommendation: If you want to mitigate against this very rare glitch, avoid getting achievements outside your main save file. For the 360 version of the game, it was a popular approach to make a save and unlock achievements like Jailbreak, Out of Your League, Master of the Forge, Diamond in the Rough, Romancing the Gem, and the like. Following the achievements popping, the gamers would then revert to the save file made before earning the achievement. In the XBox One Re-Reckoning version of the game, this approach may contribute to triggering the achievement's glitch. Accordingly, try, as much as possible, to include all achievements in your current save file. The only exception should be I Regret Nothing. Since this achievement requires you to die, unless you unlock it as your 61st achievement, you will have to revert to a save made before plummeting to your death.

29 July 2022 Edit: @Metalhat1973 in the comments observes you must unlock all base game achievements under hard difficulty for Perfectionist to pop. I have no personal knowledge. Nevertheless, the walkthrough has the entire game played under hard difficulty and this is my recommendation.

Well I unlocked this achievement, but I'm still missing the lorestone one. So the game knows that I should have the lorestone one lol.

The lorestone achievement was glitched following the 1.09 patch at the end of March 2021. If you have a save file made just before you got the 175 lorestones, this would be the best to use once THQ Nordic fixed the game. This assumes that the achievement does not pop for you automatically with the fix. Refer to this thread for more info: Achievements still bugged?

I’m with you. I don’t like platinum wannabes. They have a tendency to be glitched as this one was for you. It happens with any type of game & across a wide spectrum of developers.

The DLC is still in development.

How many lorestones did you reveal? When you played, you only needed 175. Then, the achievement was glitched. The fix required all 195 lorestones to be discovered. If you’ve revealed fewer than 195 lorestones, there’s an outside chance that discovering the remaining ones will kickstart this achievement.

I wish you the best of luck—this is so aggravating.

All 61 achievements must be done under the hard difficulty for the perfectionist achievement to unlock. Not a glitch. You can replay the achievements again even though the have been unlocked. Perfectionist achievement is not unlocking because because some achievements were unlocked under easy difficulty.

@Metalhat1973; Thanks for this. I have edited the solution and credited you with the observation.

I would like to explain my observation on the Perfectionist achievement not unlocking. On my android phone I have the xbox app from Google store. The app shows my progression under the Perfectionist achievement. When I unlocked any other achievement under easy difficulty the progress bar didn't move. When I replayed the unlocked achievement under hard difficulty the progress bar would move 1 or 2% to completion. Hope that explains some. I started playing KOA under easy difficulty until I found out one of the achievements is to finish the game entirely on hard difficulty. Going off my memory alone I replayed from the beginning the achievement I did under easy difficulty. I watched the progress bar reach 100% and the Perfectionist achievement unlocked.

Did I ever mention that I don't like this achievement? It still haunts my thoughts every now and then to this day.

Maybe I'll eventually try doing all the achievements again, but having all the achievements already unlocked makes tracking a real pain, and whilst the other person managed to pop it, there's also no way of knowing if it is unlockable for me, we just assume that if I trigger something it will pop like the other person, though there's always a possibility that I don't have a trigger that the game is tracking any more, granted, that is unlikely, but without knowing what happened to me, it still remains a possibility.

My biggest hope is that a fix will magically come with that dlc... Which is... Still in development... Right... Right!?!?

Couldn't remember, so loaded up the game, and unfortunately and also unsurprisingly I have already discovered every lorestone even on my oldest save file of my original character that I got all the achievements on.

Considering everything I did back when in hopes for a fix back then, I'd have to do just about all the side content once again as well as find all the lorestones again in the hopes that one of these things will unlock this damned achievement, which is just so time consuming feeling that I end up feeling drained from the thought of it alone.

On the plus side, I do have a second character that's already done the main game and in the 20's for their level, so if I do ever find the mood to do all that side content, at least I've got a character that's ready for it.

But here's hoping that the dlc will come with a fix for me instead.. When it comes... Eventually... Someday...

Congrats on your Platinum Trophy! I always make this joke when a game has a "get all achievements" achievement, but this one they didn't even bother to change the wording and it still says trophies...
