How to unlock the To the Victor Go the Spoils achievement in Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning - Definitive Guide

The achievement unlocks when you pick up your tenth unique weapon. Unique items are denoted by purple nomenclature. They can be weapons, armor, or accessories. Only weapons that can be equipped in the primary or secondary weapon slots count towards the achievement.

Weapons acquired from the special delivery chest in Gorhart do not count towards the achievement. Once a unique weapon is picked up, it counts towards the achievement even if you do not keep it in your inventory. You may sell unique weapons, discard them, and/or place them in a stash chest without voiding the achievement.

Acquire unique weapons up as you come across them. Enemies may drop them. More likely, you may find them in chests, piles, enemy drops, and so on. Old lootable skeletons are a good source of unique weapons. You can also pickpocket enemies and NPCs for unique weapons or steal property. The 20 second video below depicts acquiring the tenth unique weapon and popping the achievement:

Do the items from the Dead Kel quest count?

@HyruleBalverine; Absolutely. In fact, the video in the guide is from the Dead Kel quest.

You bring up a good point. I feel that Gallows End--where Dead Kell takes place--is the region in KoA with the highest probabilities of finding unique items.

It is, but unless the achievement is glitched, the unique items from Dead Kel / Gallows End don't seem to count.

There have been glitches. Ones that have involved the counter or tracker are aggravating. The game 'thinks' it has given you the achievement but it did not pop on XBox Live. The best remedy is to go back to a save before you met the conditions for the achievement. Grind the achievement. When it pops, go back to the save that represents your best progression in the game.

Sadly, I have no idea at what point I hit 9 of 10... so if I don't get the achievement when getting one in the main questline (I'd jumped into Dead Kel), I'll just restart until I get it.

This achievement is cumulative, so don't worry about selling things you don't need anymore. Unique weapons can be identified by their purple names, and you'll get a large amount during the game so this should come without actually trying. You can always purchase some if necessary though.
