How to unlock the Travelers achievement in Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning - Definitive Guide

The achievement is unlocked when you complete the Travelers questline. It's a series of ten quests categorized by the game as faction quests and can be found under that heading once you accept the first quest in the sequence. It is story related and unmissable. It can be done before the main quests are completed or afterward in post-game play.

The first Travelers quest is "The Guided Hands." It is initiated when you discover Star Camp hidden in the grove of trees in the area separating Glendara and The Sidhe. There are two entrances north and south. Whether you approach this grove of trees from Glendara in the north or The Sidhe in the south, Grim Onwig will accost you. During the conversation, choose the option,"I'm interested in joining." The Guided Hands will now appear as a faction quest. The remaining nine quests in the Travelers storyline are:

--The Silent Step
--Jailbreak
--Something Borrowed
--Going Rogue
--Mirror, Mirror
--Outside the Box
--Classic Misdirection
--The Purloined Letters
--Thick as Thieves

Page 4 of the Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning Walkthrough provides a detailed guide of the ten quests. In the walkthrough, I recommend the Travelers questline be done early in the game. This is because it rewards the player with the Shadowskin Armor set--an armor set with impressive bonuses including +10% experience and +10% gold when fully equipped. The experience boost is invaluable assisting in player progression and unlocking level based achievements.

Each completed Travelers quest triggers the next one in sequence until you reach the final quest, "Thick as Thieves." During this quest, you will have to pick a side between two feuding factions. You will be given the choice to go left or right. If you go left, the quest reward includes the Chariot Twist of Fate card--+1 Finesse & +6% piercing damage. If you go right, the quest reward includes the Temperance Twist of Fate card--+1 Finesse & +6% chance to evade. Either choice will lead to the completion of the questline and unlock the achievement.

I highly recommend saving before completing this quest. My “mage” quest arc glitched out, no acheevo
Reloaded another save (thankfully close to the boss battle) then I popped XP boosters & changed their Fate

I can’t confirm, but I think it the acheevo glitched because I didn’t listen to all the dialogue & started the fight too soon

TL;DR: SAVE YOUR GAME BEFORE THE FINAL MISSION

@ajgoesUNLUCKY - Good point. The game allows a very large number of saves. Since there are quite a few bugs & glitches, it is wise to always have save files you can revert to in case of problems.

For the very last quest I choose the left path and did not get this achievement. Loaded a previous save and choose the right path and it unlocked fine. May have just been a bug but you should choose right just to be safe or make a save before choosing.

Thanks for the insight.

There are a few bugs and I'm sure this is one of them. There is a known bug that pressing the prompt to 'frame' the target does not always work. I don't know if this is what happened to you. If you're interested, the walkthrough provides step by step instructions and covers this bug. As you suggest, it also recommends an insurance save before making the choice. I recently did two playthroughs--one for myself and the other to test the walkthrough. I chose left on one & right on the other unlocking the achievement both times.

All of the game's bugs, I believe, can be resolved by reloading a save. The game allows you a large number of save files and, as you have pointed out, I recommend taking advantage of them.

There is also another bug that occurs during 'Thick as Thieves'.

When you first enter the Hierophant's Den and speak to Argine, selecting the dialogue to support Grim instead of betraying him will teleport you on the other side of the door, which Argine closes and you're unable to open it, nor is there any other way out.

Choosing the option to betray Grim will not effect the outcome of the quest, as you can still choose who to frame when you progress further.

This questline begins by speaking to Grim Onwig outside Star Camp. You can follow the questline starting with The Guided Hands on the game's wiki for any help.
