I have the same problem, i play kona 3 times for the achievement and didn't unlock for me.

Xbox one stand 100 prozent and tablet and smartglass handy stand 66 prozent. Have you any idea????

I am having same issue of achievement not unlocking and stuck at 66%. I have replayed several times and even deleted all data and reinstalled game. Anyone have any luck figuring this out?

I haven't finish the game yet but I am at 33% and I know I got the one in Ray's House & Cabin A (This one seems to not have register?) so I should be at 66%.

DeAtHisLaNd, the same thing happened to me. The one I did in Cabin A didn't register for me after I had gotten the other 2. So my progress is stuck at 66%.

Same here... 66% Cabin A is glitchy. Any help appreciated.

Yes, we should spam them. I can still see our chances very slim on that as every patch needs certification from MS and that cost money - very unlikely in case of Indie Dev...

"No. As soon as you find them all, the achievement will unlock :)"

I don't think players will have much pull with Microsoft, but the dev or the publisher might. I think we need to help them understand that instead of passing this off as Microsoft's issue the problem will also hurt them because knowing it has glitchy achievements could ultimately affect future sales. If they even care...

Second playtrough, new save. Done Roy, Cabin A and North Cabin - no luck. Still locked at 66%. Twitted Dev again with video showing last board and no achievement progress. Can you guys tweet them as well please @Parabole

I did tweet them. Told them the tracker was broken. Their response?:

"Did you find all three chessboards?"

*Sigh.*

There is still hope ! They replied to my tweet:

"It's a bug on our end then, sorry about that. We'll fix it for the next patch and it should unlock automatically when you will open Kona."

Stuck at 66% too

The developer @Parabole tweeted me back confirming they were planning on releasing the patch that will contain a fix for this achievement hopefully by the end of next month.

samehere i'm stuck at 66% played it 3 times, i hope there is a patch coming out to fix this or something last achievement i need...

Okay, so it was suggested to me by another user here who has the achievement to only interact with the chess boards after removing the Ice Wall.

Well, I'm going to stop you all from wasting your time by telling you it does not work, either.

I think this one's well and truly fooked, lads and we're gonna have to wait for the dev. Here's hoping the messages sent to CruelCrewCut and Hitman9800 pan out to a patch...

I used to be excited to support these kickstarter games when they came to Xbox. Not so much anymore. So many of them have glitched achievements and NOTHING has been fixed. Its bullshit.

Add one more to the waiting list... I tried to get Cabin A first. It registered. Then I went to Roy's and it didn't ... All after the Ice Wall. Northern Cabin then registered for 66%. I'm thinking maybe you have to complete the game in order? Or you have to do it the first time you set foot in the cabins?

7 people have unlocked this since March. That's some Canadian fishy stank right there.

there is something wrong here the last gamer to unlock this he got it on the 22 june 2017, so why are we all not getting this ???

Rather than continually ask people to tweet or email them, why can't you just do it yourself? The more people expressing interest, the better. But in the response I received from them, all they're saying it that the patch is coming, and to please wait patiently.

"Thank you for reaching us! There is indeed a patch in the works. However, I can't provide a date yet. There are more requirements for a patch on console than a patch on PC, so when we make a new build, it requires more testing. Rest assured though that we will release it as soon as we can. Sorry for the inconvenience."

I e-mailed them for an update but I'm afraid its a similar answer "We are currently working on a patch, which will include a fix for the Chess Master achievement. I can't confirm a release date at the moment, but we will send it as soon as we can."

just finished my 3rd run this morning specifically to try and get this. had done an uninstall and clear files and started fresh. still stuck at 66% :( wait and see if there's any words from the devs I suppose

I emailed the devs again. Here is the response I got:
"Although we don't have a date yet, we are working on bringing a new patch before Halloween. It doesn't mean that it won't be released a month before, but we prefer to be safe. We know it's been a while since the last patch and we apologize for the delays."

They probably said the end of November so people will buy it while it’s on sale for Black Friday. But I’m not buying this until this achievement is fixed, sale or no sale.

Out of curiosity, has the game been fixed to the extent that someone buying it right now while it's on sale will not encounter this issue?

If you buy the game now and play right away, the issue will still be there. However, when the patch goes live, you can load your progress and the achievement will unlock automatically if you have completed all unfinished chess games.

In other words, the update that will fix this issue will be available to everyone who already has the game now and to everyone who will buy it in the future.

You need to load a saved game in which you've collected the chess boards

ok as i finished the game once so i should just load up a save and it should pop.

Thanks for confirming it works well, and sorry again for the delay in sending a fix! As @GavInxs mentioned, all you need to do to unlock the achievement is to load a save with all chess games completed. :)

Good job ! Just got mine after nearly 7 months. Thanks to all people helping in reporting this and Jeff who reached out to community (take screenshots and put that in your CV), but biggest to Parabole who gave us this really interesting game.

This Achievement Is Still Glitched!!!

^^^ 2 Players got the Achievement in the Past 3-5 days. Im sure it is not unobtainable.

You should mention that the key for the shack between cabins A & B is found in the Blais’ house.

I can't stress enough that if they received tweets from every one of you (signing up for an account isn't that hard and you don't have to even use it afterward) the process of getting a response might go a little faster.

I know this sounds kinda shitty, but if you want to see some movement on this, you might have to put in a little effort yourself. Just sayin'...

Hello everyone!

If you don't know me, I'm Jeff, the Community Manager at Parabole. First of all, we want to apologize for the inconvenience and the delays for this fix. We can understand how frustrating this situation can be and although we delayed the patch release a few times, rest assured that we didn't do this on purpose.

In the Tweet mentioned by CruelCrewCut, we forgot to mention that November 30th was the date we would send the patch to Microsoft. However, we are a bit ahead of schedule, which is good news.

So here is the official schedule: we will send the patch to Microsoft by the end of the week. They will then analyze it, which usually takes between 2 to 4 weeks, therefore, worst case scenario, the patch will be live in the week of December 17th.

The achievement has been fixed and tested, and it will work retroactively. To unlock the achievement, once the patch is live, you will only need to load a saved game with all chess games completed.

As a small team with a really busy schedule, we try to meet deadlines as much as we can, but in this case, we unfortunately had to delay a few times. So again, we sincerely apologize for all the inconvenience and the delays. If you have any questions/comments, you can answer here or, for a quicker response, you can join our Discord channel (discord.gg/parabole). In both cases, I'll make sure to answer as quickly as possible.

Contact xbox support, they will fix it for you and give you the achievement.

The Achievement is Unobtainable.. It will be fixed Soon!

Nobody has gotten the Achievement since March!

You are only missing this achievement, so why don't you do it yourself? Probably because that isn't how Xbox works and they can't do that for people.

They fixed it.

Download the patch and load up any save where you've found all 3 and it'll pop.

@DungeonxLurker because if it's at 100% then its an error on Xbox's side. For me and many others the achievement was stuck on 66% which is the games fault not Xbox.

This also glitched for me. In order to provide more information and prevent other gamers from making the same "mistake," here is how I understand the glitch to have happened. I played through the game for fun the first time, and only found 1 game (tracker at 33%). I started a new game once I finished, this time going for all remaining achievements. I reached the first chess game (tracker remained at 33%). I found the second chess game (tracker was at 33%, but the progression bar was white, as if it had just been at 0%, and I found the first chess game). I backtracked to the first game, but could not interact with it (tracker remained at 33%). I reached the third and final chess game, tracker went to 66%. So I'm currently sitting at 985/1000G. Once I stop being so pissed at this game, I'm going to delete all the save stuff off the hard drive, and just rush through as fast as possible to see if that works, and report back. I also emailed the devs in the hopes to get some new information about this patch they claim is in the works.

tl;dr: Make 100% damn sure that in your first play through you find all 3 chess games. Do not wait on it, or save it for another play through. Just get it done and out of the way, because this sucks. I personally made this profile for 100% completions, and it's already f***** up 3 months into making it.
