How to unlock the Miles On The Clock achievement in L.A. Noire - Definitive Guide

If you played this game like me and got my partner to do all of the driving in the cases and when looking for collectables. Then you will find you still need to drive a lot of miles to reach 194.7 miles driven.

I have found a good place to idle the mileage, there is a air stip at the top of the map that looks like a cross on the map. Just rubberband your left analog stick to the left, and rubberband your right trigger and then sit back and rack up the mileage.

Just a note, I drove over the required amount but it didn't pop so I did a street crime case to force it to save and then it popped

DUDE!!!!!!! I'm actually sitting now at my PC typing this watching the car go around and round!!!!!! This should be the TOP SOLUTION!! BWHAAAAA

I don't know how 2 people could down vote this solution. Total morons for doing it! I've rubberbanded cheevos a few times years ago, and I just happened to be at the airpark getting a film reel when I literally looked up this cheevo cuz I thought that this would make a great place to get distance.

THANK YOU!! I did exactly what you did and had the partner drive everywhere + for collectibles, so this is PERFECT!!!

(FYI - the car is still going around in circles lol) clapdanceheadspintoast

PS - Still laughing at my TVlaugh

Just drive around a lot lol. You will get this eventually from just playing the game normally, especially if you explore around a lot looking for hidden vehicles/golden film reels.

You should get this near the end of the game as long as you drive everywhere and not let your partner take the wheel. Every mile counts here, so as much as it may be tedious in some cases, you've got to drive. It may also take a few diversions via a street crime to add those extra miles.

In most cases, you destinations are quite close to each other, but when a street crime pops up, some of them are across the other side of the city from your current location. So a drive from there all the way over to it and back will add those much needed miles.

Simply drive around in any vehicle. The miles stack from each car driven during the game. Also interesting info as to why it is 194.7 miles, is that it’s because this game takes place in 1947, the year of the highest crime rate in LA. If you want to know how many miles that you have driven, press and locate the statistics section for more info.

Note: If you let you partner drive it will not count towards the total miles driven, so make sure you do all the driving through the game until you get this trophy.

The game takes place in 1947. It is this number (okay, divided by 10) that needs to be written on the mileage counter. The number of miles already driven can be viewed in the Statistics - Cars - "Distance traveled by car" section.
Taking this into account, we try to drive ourselves! Because when driving a car with a partner (I checked it experimentally), the miles do not accumulate. In addition, you need to look for all sorts of new cars and discover the sights of the city, which is also inaccessible when traveling by car.
Received about halfway through the game, so the trophy is not difficult.

Cumulative trophy, the counter goes to all cars, the main thing is to sit behind the wheel. I advise you not to use “teleportation” (by holding down near the car), and drive everywhere yourself and towards the end of the game the trophy will appear naturally. You can see how much you have already driven in the menu during a pause, in the Statistics - Total Distance Driven section, or in the club , in the Stats section.

By 100% of the game, I would correct it. After finishing the job, I still had 50-60 miles left to cover, taking into account the fact that I was riding on my own. So Free Roam will help with unfinished trophies.

Experienced players already know this, but novice trophy hunters may find it useful:
If we need to forcibly increase the missing mileage, then we go to the airfield. It's in the northern part of the map. We install the car approximately in the center of the field. We fix the left stick on the gamepad to the right position using a rubber band. Key R2 , fix in a clamped position using a toothpick (or any other suitable material). The car will move in a circular path. Monitor the process by periodically looking at the screen.
