How to unlock the Auto Enthusiast achievement in L.A. Noire - Definitive Guide

Very easy. While driving around, once you see a parking lot with many cars, stop and hop into every car available. You don't actually need to drive them. Just entering a new car would increase the count by one.

Alternatively, during "A Slip of the Tongue", you need to visit a used car dealer. Go into all the cars there to get five different cars easily.

There are five different desks, giving you five different cars to drive in - that is if you don’t drive any vehicle until you reach the last case. Please see Auto Fanatic for a list of all locations and the names of each car. This will pop up before you complete the final desk.

A small addition - you don't have to drive a car. You just need to sit in them, the hero starts the car, and then you get out of it. All.

Almost all cars except the plot ones are found in parking lots around the time of crimes. Just sit in 5 of them and the achievement is yours.
