LEGO Harry Potter Collection

Does anyone know if there has been a glitch with the final student in peril? I've got one left and been through sevarel guides to which i should have them all.

This game has been known to be glitchy, so its plausible.

Personally I had 1 left and it was in Hagrid's garden, I thought it was complete but there was a basket I had to do something with.

I got this cheevo it not the year 1 quidditch one. What gives?

I had 100% but also I used codes for the Red Bricks and the Achievement didn't unlock, I had to go around and do all the Red Bricks to get the Achievement to pop

It might be obvious to some, but since I didn't see it mentioned here, this applies to Years 1-4 of the Harry Potter Collection.

Help - I have everything at max, says 100% but no achievement??

i had 199 Gold Bricks. First I thought its a glitch, but when 4 character token still missing I knew I havent found some place. I missed Knockturn Alley

I had this glitch. Didn't use any cheats or exploits. Does anyone know what causes it. Don't want to put another 10+ hrs in for it to happen again

Left the shop after buying the last character and no pop was full of sadness I then I waited a min walked into the other shop and then I popped still some delay for sure

Why did they increase it from 70G to 90G? Now Y5-7 is 980G.

I had no issues unlocking this, I used all cheat codes to unlock all red bricks at the start of the game. I also had a yellow marker in the library but if you turn off the crest locator it goes away just so people know it’s definitely not a good brick.
Also no harm in using any of the cheat codes, they WILL NOT void any achievements.
Just run through the main story first without the locators on and have the multiplier cheats on (helps with all the purchasing you’ll be doing) because most collectable won’t be able to be obtained until you have specific characters available, saves a lot of time not trying to collect things on your first run.
I was stuck at 49/50 student in peril and 199/200 gold bricks for a while, but after reading some guides I was able to find my last one in hagrids garden after using the time turner. And just so people are aware, you get e gold brick whenever you help a student in peril. Would’ve been lovely to have a student locator red brick would’ve saved some time lol.

I had absolutely no trouble unlocking this, was nervous at start due to all these glitchy posts but was a non-issue for me. The game has glitches for sure but none that stopped anything unlocking. What I did was basically @vertigo6932 said above:

- Finished story mode stages, played casually with my daughter, so rescued random students, unlocked random characters.
- Replayed Y1E1 (Griphook)
- Replayed Y1E5 (Fang)
- Replayed Y2E6 (Tom Riddle)
- Cleared Hogwarts of all collectibles, turning on Red Brick detectors as I unlocked them. You'll need to buy a Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw student to access their common rooms (Tom works for Slitherin)
- 10 bonus stages in Gringots (+ tutorial)
- Freeplay all stages with detectors
- Buy everything (incl Voldemort)
- Replay Y1E6 and Y4E6 as Voldemort

Where I can see people having trouble is.... I didn't do any glitches to access spells early. Seems this can cause people to have trouble accessing the Slitherin common room. Just be patient and unlock as normal.

Also Hagrid's hut / Slug puzzle, first I had to return here after completing to get the gold brick (floating offscreen above the cauldron), also if you use the Time Turner with the characters polyjuiced (ie, no "harry") you can have a glitch where you'll get two Hagrids + Fang (and no Harry) so you can't break the silver brick. To fix this just leave (tavern) then return (to hogwarts) and try again.

The other issue I can see that could trick people is some bricks/chars are hidden in Time Turner versions of the castle and easy to miss. They don't show up with the detector until you're in the alternate version.

I also had a gold arrow indicating a gold brick in the restricted section of the library, this is incorrect, its showing a house crest from story mode, despite being in the open castle (can confirm this by turning off the house brick detector), but this doesnt impact 100% at all.

After my first playthrough getting stuck at 98.7%, I started over and did the following:

Used the cheats for all red bricks.
Ran through all the story missions as quick as possible (no collectibles).
Replayed Year 1 episode 1 to unlock Griphook (key).
Replayed Year 1 episoode 5 to unlock Fang (dig, strong).
Replayed Year 2 episode 6 to unlock Tom Riddle (dark magic).
Followed RadiantViper's guide (https://www.xboxachievements.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2403...) to get all Diagon Alley and Hogwarts hub collectibles, unlocking characters as needed.

Replayed all Free Play missions to completion.

Hopefully this helps someone get this on their first run!
