Here's a link to a guide I made. It has the location of every collectable in the game, including all the Crest Pieces in Year 1.

To make things easier, you'll want to grab the Hogwarts Crest Detector first. Either use the cheat (TTMC6D) or you can find it in the Ravenclaw Dorm (see the above guide). You'll still need to find the red brick eventually in order to get 100%. You can buy the Red Brick extras from the upstairs of Eelops Owl Emporium in Diagon Alley, after you have unlocked them by finding them/getting them delivered by an owl.

You should make a video guide. It's much easier to follow than a wall of text. You'll be the first to do it if you do so.

I have no capture device, nor the drive to make a video guide. It would be a waste of time seeing as how there are in-game indicators of where these crests are. A wall of text works just fine.

Wow! the guide is a great help, and the color-coding makes it very easy to use, You getz a chocolate cookie. and about a video guide... wouldn't be so easy to just find what you need.

Yeah, the red brick thing kinda sucks. You never know which you have already.
Very awesome guide! Really appreciate it.
Also, text is sometimes good for collectibles, either or I suppose though.
