Here's a link to a guide I made. It has the location of every collectable in the game, including all the Students In Peril.

Unfortunately, unlike the other collectables there is no Red Brick extra that shows you where they all are. So just be thorough and make sure you've checked each area. The guide is colour coded so you can easily find each listing for the Students In Peril (they're green).

Unfortunately it seems a lot of people have trouble with possibly glitchy students ... all I can suggest is going back through all of them, maybe trying to recreate what you had to do to get it (if possible) or just do whatever you can and hope another one pops up.

According to Selkirk16, the student in the Boy's Bathroom remains stuck even after you save him. The rescued students usually run off. So if you're missing one, don't get confused and think that's the one you're missing!

Any tips, mine glitched as I couldn't hit the banner in the main entrance as I have invert on. So I dropped out and used my girlfriend's char. This means I have 50/50 showing but the achievement didn't unlock. I tried doing a level again hoping getting the student would then register at the end of the level. Have also tried tip below re:clocktower.

My glitch was the one in the gryffindor main dorm. The student on the sofa....went back a few times and eventually he appeared in cube form. Whacked him and hurrah 50/50 :)

Buggy piece of crap, looked everywhere twice following different guides and stuck 49/50 with a missing gold and consequently no 100%

I have a student stuck in the right toilet bowl in the Boy's Bathroom. Can't remember if it counted. Does this mean my game is glitched? Haven't found a similar case to mine though. 49/50 gah!

Thanks managed to find the missing one in the 2nd Floor Herb Lab. But just in case anyone is wondering, the guy in the Boy's Bathroom remains stuck even after you save him. The rescued students usually run off. Top guide by the way! :)

i've used at least ten different times and run through the castle about five or six times and I cannot find the last student. i don't think my game is glitched and was wondering if anyone had any tips. i have the students from the herbology room, clocktower, hagrids, dorms, all the halls, grand stairs, lake, quidditch, bathroom even the dungeons under the charms room. any "hard to miss" spot people have mentioned, i've found. does anyone have anything? please im 6 achievements away and just want to be done with this game and i really dont want to restart.

RadiantViper's Collection Guide is great. I highly recommend starting there.

I was stuck on 49/50 students and thought I was glitched. I assumed that the student I was missing had been credited to my son's account when he had been playing on the second player in co-op. I was about to delete my save and start over when I found a glitch that recovered my missing student in peril and a gold brick. This is worth a try before replaying the entire game....

Go to the clocktower. Use the time turner to turn back time. Exit to the leaky cauldron. Go back to Hogwarts. You will be taken back to the clock tower. At this point my missing studen in peril showed up. When I returned to the leaky cauldron, my gold brick count had increased also.

I can confirm that two other people have had reported luck with this. This game is glitchy so it may help you, but it may not.

Ohhh my goodness. I watched my dad get stuck at ~98% with one missing student in peril... I kept a checklist when I started the game to make SURE I got everyone, but I too was missing one student... This worked for me, THANK YOU SO MUCH :D +vote!

Mine just takes me back to the greenhouse as well. Really annoyed with this, after spending hours over weeks to get 100%, stuck with that last bloody SIP and gold block. I can see the detecter telling me where it is, but it just won't release it. Very poor. They should have released an update to fix the bug >:(

After not playing the game for nearly a year (due to the frustration of being stucked with one student missing) I cleared my cache and gave your solution a try. I finally found the last student in the gryffindor dorm. Thanks a lot!

I had no glitches, but still only 49 of 50 students. x_x
and it was my fault, because i missed one student in Hagrid's Field.
You can found 2 students here... one in a flying basket and one in a pumpkin after using the clock.

If it happens to anyone else I can confirm that this might work!

here is what happened to me!

I had 48/50 students (saved one for preloads so its in a normal level) And I had 189/200 golds but counting with the golds I also saved up I was missing one.

I used the other guide to check the videos but I did this owl thing from this guide. Not sure if that's what helped or if I actually had missed one.

Number 42 was the one I missed from the other guide! The one were the student is hanging on a painting above a bookshelf in the main room with many doors insode hogwards.

Rescuing all the trapped students can be one of the trickiest trophies in the game, with 1 hidden in each main story level and 26 around the hub areas. There is no red brick cheat to turn on an indicator in this game either. Fortunately, in the PS4 "remaster" they added collectible sound effects to be output from the controller. This is massively helpful as you hear clear as day if there is something like a character token or student in the room somewhere.

Unfortunately this game is rather glitchy. When I was down to 1 left and had to retread the entire Hogwarts castle, multiple times I had the controller making the "student in peril nearby" sound, when a quick check of the above guide proved that there was never a student in that room in the first place, let alone that I had already rescued them. (This happened to me in the Clocktower specifically in the Time Turned version)

I have the same issue. I rescued the one in the clocktower but down to the last one and can hear the sound in the Time Turner version. Any way to get around this without restarting the game?

My solution was to go back and recheck every single student in peril location. It sucks, but at least it isn't restarting the whole game.

For me, the student was in Hagrid's garden, possibly the Time Turned version, can't recall which as there is one in each. Hopefully that's where they are for you!

Scattered around Hogwarts and each level are students who need help, such as being stuck behind vines or somehow hanging from a high spot. Each level has one to find and there are 26 in free-roam, meaning there are a total of 50. You will know if you have got one in a level if the face on the level select screen is smiling, plus a notification will come on screen saying you found one.

Like the house crests some require special characters or spells you do not learn until late in the story, this means you can not get them all in your first runthrough of the story. Refer to this collectable guide for the location of all the Students.
