How to unlock the Scoring Frenzy achievement in Little League World Series Baseball 2010 - Definitive Guide

I was struggling to get this. Didnt unlock it on my first tournament and had to dedicate special attention on the second.

You have 27 games to achieve, which means 6.3 runs per average. A run means that one of your player is going around all the bases, returning to the home base. Obviously, the easiest to achieve it is if you hit Home runs, ideally with multiple players on the bases. What makes this difficult, is that your batsmen are quite weak at the beginning, which means that you will be most likely behind your average. Check your stats after every game in the Runs column, to see how you are progressing.

When assigning attribute points, increase individually the batting skills of every second batsmen in your lineup, to increase the chances of multiple home runs in every inning.

What can make your life the easiest, are the +1 Inning card, coupled with Resurrection. By using these 2, you can essentially increase the length of your tourney by 33% (8 innings from 6). This will make it a lot easier, particularly from the middle of the tourney (say after the first 15 games), by when your batters will be the most efficient.

If you get the feeling of the throwing pattern of any particular pitcher, hitting consistent home runs, make sure to let them score too on their innings, not to end the game prematurely if you lead by 10 runs.

The achievement will unlock during the match, as soon as you score the 170th run.

Make sure to press up on the left stick when hitting to force a fly ball. Not pressing the left stick also gets you home runs. Moving down on the left stick yields ground balls. If you have a full power bar, use it all on your Star Player. Any hit will turn into a home run. You can probably get 2 of these per game.

This has to be done in a Little League World Series tournament. This is a cumulative team trophy, so any runs scored by your team per game are saved and count towards the 170 runs. Your best bet is to try and average five runs per game.
