Completing the game will unlock a new Hat for you.

Start up any chapter using Chapter Select from the main menu, and equip this hat from the bottom row.

Thanks I forgot you unlocked this hat after beating the game I haven't played it since I went off my little nightmares phase after I 100% the game on switch

I hadn't played since release so had to try on a few hats, finally found the one that worked. Think it's called a trillby aka the hat that everybody means when they say fedora.

To get this achievement you'll need to beat the game, load up one of the chapters and try on the hat that you unlock for beating the game.

Equip the hat you unlocked by beating the game.
Start up a new game or use chapter select and you’ll find the new hat in your collection.

This is a post-game achievement.

This achievement first requires you to beat the game. Doing so unlocks a new hat, a fedora, to wear. Once you've beaten the game and sat through the credits, load up any chapter via chapter select from the main menu, then pause the game, go to the Hats menu, and choose the new fedora on the bottom row. This achievement will unlock immediately.

After completing the game you will receive a hat. Launch any chapter - Menu - Select a headdress - activate this very hat - the trophy is yours. Possible even during a cut scene
