You can either join another player online, have someone quick join you or grab a second controller and join the game at the end of a level (making sure to spawn the second player and just finish the stage with both (or even one) character.

Just complete any level with another player and that's it. If you want to get it faster, load "First Steps" and when you are at the last revive point, connect the second joystick. Now, by controlling both “socks”, reach the end of the level.
