Lost Planet 2

Episode 6 is the final episode of the game, and has four chapters. Split nicely down the middle with chapters one and two revolving around soldiers and VSs, whilst chapters three and four are entirely Akrid-based. Its two bosses are the Brocakti (6-2) and Over G (6-4).

Episode Boss – Over G
For a game that is so focused on its incredibly oversized bosses, you’d think that Capcom might make the last boss a challenge… unfortunately, that’s not the case. Over G is perhaps the easiest boss in the entire game and to go with that he has the least personality of all the bosses… how much personality can a big orange blob have? Over G consists of large orange tentacles, and you must shoot the tips of these tentacles to uncover a rocky surface. When these rocky surfaces are completely visible, the tentacle will collapse to the ground and will give you a short amount of time to place a GPS system on him. If you’re playing with multiple human players, you have to place three GPS systems on him, and if you’re playing solo, you only have to play a single GPS system. Even on extreme his tentacles can be brought down with as little as four rockets from the standard rocket launcher, and when soloing him that’s effectively all you have to do to defeat him. Once you’ve planted the GPS, whether it is a single GPS or three of them, the NEOS Space Station will fire its laser into the Over G. From this an interactive cinematic ensues, where the barrier around the Over G reconstitutes, and you can shoot it to hold it back, but this doesn’t help or hinder you, as either way the NEOS Space Station comes crashing down on the Over G. It’s as simple as that.
