IMPORTANT NOTES! For this achievement if you quit any games any games at all! it will penalize you makeing sure that a X amount of xp that you earn will not count! takes 100,000 xp to hit Gunner i didnt quit a single game and only won about 49% of my games and once i hit 100,000 it unlocked. If you lag out of a game it will count as you quiting that means dashboarding or turning off your xbox in the middle of a game will penalize you the next time you start the game. It doesnt take xp from what youve earned it just brings your earnings down. For example if you quit itll bring it down to -2500 so the next 2500 xp you earn wont count but will still be added to your total amount earned in rank meaning gunner will unlock at 102,500 xp the more you quit the higher it gets so on and so forth. Hope the rest of the guide helps you unlock it and this stops the negative feedback on the correct guide.

Achievment Name - Hot Shot
Description - Gain promotion to the rank of Gunner.
Ranked Career points needed - 100,000

To get Achievement - Get a total of 100,000 career points earned in ranked online matches.

Ok this is a pretty straight forword achievement, all you have to do is play ranked online matches to get promoted. It took me around 55 games ending up with about 9 hours of game play to hit the rank of Gunner. The ranking system in this game is a basic points system, giveing you a promotion each time you hit the targeted amount of points.

To earn points -

Now at the end of each game it goes back to the end game lobby screen and gives you a amount of Career Points for how well you did. This can be measured in how many posts you grabed, how many kills you got, how many VS's you killed, how many headshots, how many times you died, how long your killstreak was, basic things contribute to the final score of how much Career points you earn at the end. Winning or Loseing a game does not contribute to you ranking up or the final amount of points you earn. So dont just leave a game if your not winning as it will make the achievement take longer then is needed as if you leave a game you get zero points. The game gives you more points for being a team player, so if its a post grab match and you dont grab any of the posts but just run around killing everyone you will get less points in the end if say someone grabed 5 posts but only killed 5 people and you killed 20.

Tips to make it faster -

1. Dont leave any game even if your not going to win if your doing good and contributing to the team you may earn more points at the end then anyone else. Even if your doing bad some points are better for the time spent then none at all.

2. Make sure you know exactly what game mode it is and what your soppose to do to win. The more you contribute to your team winning or trying to win the more points you'll be awarded at the end.

3. VS's are stronger and harder to kill then a normal person is. But dieing in one will penalize you even greater then if you were just on foot. Use them wisely, there strong and can be used to easyly boost up the amount of points you can earn, but at the same time they can cut down the points you were going to earn just as fast.

4. Play Ranked Matches, you wont earn points by playing player matches. So stick to ranked even if your not that good after a few games you'll get the hang of it and be on your way to the Gunner rank.

5. Most players will have there wepons and abilities custamized to suit there style of play. You first have to unlock these though to be able to use them. To unlock them you first have to play campaign mode, there are boxes you collect throughout the game. The boxes will give you credits and other prizes if your lucky. At the end of each episode before continueing to the next one you have the option to open those boxes and collect whats in side. I suggest you do by Pressing the X butten to open the boxes. After that once back on the main page you go to the tab My Page click into it, go into Customization, then go into Charecter Parts. Once there press Y which will allow you to do a random slot machine roll to earn wepons, abilities, emotes, and Noms de guerre. Custamize it the way you want to play to better help you stomp the other players in your way.

6. Last tip , Have Fun with game its a pretty simple but fun game once you get the hang of it. I hope this better helps you get this achievment and have fun with game.

This achievement is called "Hot Shot" and is unlocked by reaching the player rank of Gunner in multiplayer (online) mode. You start at recruit so you have to get promoted ten times. The order is

If you're going for the 100 ranked wins achievement you will almost definitely get this on the way.

Hot Shot - Gain promotion to the rank of Gunner.

The two solutions here provide very good information, but do not help people who are trying to get this achievement since the game's community is basically dead.

So, a boosting method to get this achievement is to first, get 3 other partners/xbox's, as this achievement requires 4 people minimum.

This achievement is only obtainable in ranked matches, so you'll have to deal with the waiting in the lobby for the match to start.

Anyway, you'll be boosting in "Post Grab Battle" and the map setting should be "Small."

Once in the lobby, get your other three xbox's/boosting partners in.

NOTE: If you are the host of the game, press or in the lobby, it should bring up a little box, this blocks other people from joining, which will ensure an easy boosting match without the worries of pesky randoms.

Get everyone else to vote for the map "Cube", as this is the smallest map in the game.

Once in the match, whoever is going for the achievement must capture all the data posts as fast as possible, you will obtain around 4300-4700 Points, which should allow you to obtain the Gunner rank in a matter of a few hours (It usually takes 8-10 hours of constant boosting)

Your partners can go for kills if they need this:

Just follow this method and you'll have gunner in no time.

You need to be 4 People to rank up in Ranked Games for whatever reason.

Just a little Tip: If you're stuck in your promotions 10-20 times in a row, try to do some GJ Awards like 3 Headshots or 5 Dataposts in a row, and win the game of course.

"The player-rank system in this game is pretty wonky. K/D alone won't guarantee a promotion, but it can help to prevent you from getting demoted sometimes.

Essentially what the game looks at is all aspects of how you performed. So:

Kill, and don't be killed as much as possible (obvious, really...) and attain a lengthy kill-streak.
When gunning down your fellow snow pirates, try to go for headshots.
Destroy as many enemy VSes as you can.
Raise as many Data Posts as you can.
Win at all costs. The game promotes you faster if you're on a steady win-streak in Ranked."

For all of you out there who didnt start this shitty time wasting game, DON'T START IT! IT'S NOT WORTH IT! IT'S GLITCHED, BUGGED AND IT FORCES YOU TO PLAY FUCKING FOREVER AND ALMOST ALL THE ONLINE LEADERBOARDS ARE HACKED SO THERE'S NO POINT TO TRY THE WORLD RECORD NOM DE GUERRE. FUCK CAPCOM.
