The easiest way to get money is to load 5-3, the level where you have to destroy the cannon and storm the other ship. Once you do so unlock there data post and wait tell the time runs out. After doing so money blocks will drop from the sky. The countdown will start tell the ship blows up. Every 10 to 15 sec more money blocks will drop near the enemies data post. Its best to only stay on the ship tell 20 secs left. Other than that, you can score 10,000 bucks every time you play that section.

Yeah, this is the Box grinding method I use. But when me and my friends do it, we stay till the very end and blow up. As long as the BG gauge is above 0, you can respawn and finish the mission. There is really no penalty to dying minus the BG drop. And we get from 100-140 boxes per run and about 15k credits.
