According to the Carcyclopedia there are 44 vehicles total. By the end of the game I had like 27 vehicles driven. It is pretty easy to get just jump in cars that you know that you haven't driven yet. You also unlock 6 cars that show up by completing the story. You unlock 2 hot rods after Chapter 8 and I believe the other 4 are from finishing the last chapter. Make sure you get in these cars! I believe these cars were a DLC pack from the original 360 version. There are also some vehicles that are only available in the first few chapters for example the snowplow so feel free to load up an early chapter and hunt around if need be.

I played the 360 version without the DLC and remembered having to find new vehicles I hadn't drove in order for this to pop.
On the Definitive edition, you really don't have to put any effort into the achievement. I played through the main game and both DLCS, completing all main missions and the DLC Car side missions. After this I was at around 24 cars. I then drove to my garage and drove out the hot rods/DLC car unlocks one by one. Only driving them out a tiny bit before reversing the car back into the garage. This achievement took no effort this time around.

You will need to drive no less than thirty different vehicles which also involves thirty different models. Pay close attention: from chapter 7 "In memory of F. Potenza" the times change as well as the cars. You can follow your progress in the pause menu via the Statistics section and the heading Cars driven .
To help you, you will find below, a list of cars present in the game and counting for the trophy. You will be able to redact as you go knowing that, as soon as you get into a vehicle, its name is displayed at the bottom right.
