How to unlock the Burn Like Napalm achievement in Mafia III: Definitive Edition - Definitive Guide

You'll gain access to this mission after taking over both Southdowns rackets, killing Frank Pagani, and rescuing Alvarez. If you're a more stealth-oriented player, leave your suppressed weapons at home and come armed for a firefight. I recommend a semi or full auto rifle or SMG, and whatever your favorite non-suppressed pistol is. I brought the Blackburn FAF-33 (incredibly useful) and the Pasadena AR-30 ...the Stromer .223 is better though, as long as you have the requisite favor from Burke.

After talking to Donovan and meeting Alcee, you'll head to Tommy Marcano's boxing arena. You'll need to win all three fights to Marcano. The best - and quickest - way to win fights is by using your Brutal Takedowns.

You might have been led to believe this was a Queenbury rules officiated boxing match ...but that's not exactly the case. I found the best way to set your opponent up to be (brutally) taken down is to wait for them to attack you and counter it by pressing cn_Y when it appears on screen.

I'd then hit them about twice more, then finish them off by holding cn_B and releasing when the bar is in the white portion of the meter. You may be able to jump straight from the counter to the brutal takedown but I'd get a couple extra shots in on them to be sure. Brutal Takedowns are nice because it's a one-shot-kill as opposed to a longer fight where you could take more damage.

In order to fray the ropes off of your wrists you'll need to move cn_LS. Don't make the mistake I did and just go up and down, you'll need to go in a circle to wear through the ropes quickly enough. Use your left palm on the stick to go faster. You may be interrupted, but keep at it until you have the opportunity to press cn_B and disarm your attacker.

After a nasty arm break straight out of a Steven Segall film, you'll have full control of Lincoln again. Immediately take cover on either side of the doorway in front of you. You'll only be equipped with a pistol - I was given an Elling 9mm - but since it has full ammo that should be enough to kill the goons and to down Marcano.

After your little chat with Tommy, you're free to finish him off in the usual fashion with cn_B, or leave him to do his best impression of Colonel Sanders' extra crispy recipe chicken. Whatever your choice, you should notice that you've got your inventory back which will come in handy as you shoot your way out of the burning gym. (Hence why I said earlier to come armed for a firefight)

After making a couple of left turns you'll find yourself in a large burning room. This is a particularly difficult area because of the lack of good cover, avenues for retreat, high number of enemies, but most of all the poor visibility caused by the smoke. I recommend taking cover by the entranceway and keeping your distance at first. You'll want to make heavy use of Intel View (activated with the View button) to see your enemies. Make your way up the bleachers to the left, back over to the bar and then flank behind the remaining enemies.

Make your way through the area of even heavier smoke, knifing distracted enemies as you go. Kick open the double doors and a brief cinematic will show Lincoln taking cover. Be prepared for an immediate flanking attempt to come from your right, you may want to toss a Molotov or frag over there to head the attack off. Move between cover, use Intel Vision and don't be afraid to retreat to take better cover.

Once outside, hop in the convertible parked out front and put your foot down. You'll need to escape both the immediate area and the police to finish the mission. As always, I recommend taking the railroad tracks or heading down to the Bayou at high speed to get away.

Tommy Marcano is the boss of the Southdowns district, which opens up only after you’ve helped Vito claim River Row district. Talk to Donovan to reveal Tommy’s Black Market and Gambling rackets then go take them for yourself. Once that’s done, speak to Donovan again for the mission “Kill Tommy Marcano”. Head to Downtown and pick up Alcee Bennet from a diner, then head to Arcadia in Southdown. Head around to the side entrance and Alcee will bring you in. You’ll have to win 3 bouts of cage fights. Use to counter attacks and to follow up with punches and takedowns of your own. They’ll go down easily.

Lincoln will be captured and tied up. Move the up and down to fray the rope, then to stun your aggressor and take his gun. Kill everyone then confront Tommy. Escape the goons and the police afterwards.
