This achievement is quite easy but takes a while.
For this you need to save up $150,000 between your wallet and bank account. I would advise to deposit money into your bank account frequently just in case you die because you'll lose a lot of money if you have lots in your wallet.
To deposit money you can either go to Sammy's Bar or play the story until you unlock your under boss Vito. Once you have Vito unlocked you'll gain access to the Consigliere ability which allows you to call someone to store your cash on the go. This is a better method of storing your cash because you can just call the person up and they'll drive to you.

To unlock the achievement, you must physically possess $150K. Money earned but not retained does not count towards the achievement. So, money spent before the achievement is earned does not count towards the achievement. This differs from the Baby You're a Rich Man Achievement where all money earned counts towards the achievement regardless of whether it has been spent or is still on hand.
In the below video, Lincoln has just under $149K in the bank. He picks up over $1,000 during a mission so that his total cash is over $150K and the achievement pops:

How do you get this achievement if money earned doesn't count? Isn't most of your money earned because I've got around $60k so far but most was earned.

I'll clarify this. What I was trying to say is that money earned but not held on to does not count towards the achievement. It must be cash on hand. The cash on hand can either be in the bank or on Lincoln's person and not yet deposited in the bank. So, the achievement will pop when the amount in Lincoln's wallet added to the money in the bank equals or exceeds $150,000.00.

The "bank" is the safe in the basement of Sammy's, and your wallet is the money you are carrying around with you at any given time that has not been deposited in the bank. These two numbers are tracked separately in the bottom left section of your HUD.
This trophy requires those two numbers to add up to more than $150,000 at one time, so you should try to limit your spending until you unlock it.

You must have a total of $150,000 at one time between your wallet and the bank. You’ll lose half the cash in your wallet if you die. You can return to Sammy’s place to stash your cash in the safe, or use Vito’s associate the Consigliere to deliver it for you to the safe after you’ve conquered River Row and gained Vito as your Underboss.
