Mafia III: Definitive Edition

This achievement can be done at the very beginning of the game as soon as you have control of Lincoln and can move around New Bordeaux. The video below shows the achievement being obtained in the very early "A Taste of the Action" side mission where we are supposed to drive Ellis to Sammy's. So, interestingly, Ellis is with us for the achievement.

To unlock the achievement, there are three criteria that have to be met:
--Be in a Police Zone
--Be chased while driving a car for two minutes
--Escape the police zone either in the car you had been driving, on foot, or by getting out of the car and into another one

You must be in the car being chased for two minutes. If you get out of the car before the two minutes are up and continue to be chased on foot, even if the total time in the police zone is over two minutes; the achievement will not unlock. I tested this to verify it.

The below video establishes the police zone by ramming a police car. We could use any car for the chase, but we highjack the police car and use it to get another achievement:




Intentionally staying within the police cordon for over two minutes may result in a significant amount of damage to the car. Consequently, the car you had been driving may not be the best means to escape the cordon once the two minutes are up. You can get out of the car and escape on foot optionally getting into a new undamaged car. In the above video, we drive the car we had been driving into the water. This is, perhaps, the simplest way to escape because the police will not get into the water to chase Lincoln.

The faithful Ellis stays with Lincoln through all the mayhem. At the end of the above video, you'll notice a green dot behind Lincoln on the mini-map. That's Ellis.

Provided you have not advanced far in the story, there is an easy way to accomplish this. At the end of the mission "Friend in Jesus," you get in a car with Ellis and Danny. You must evade the police and return to the bar. In order to do this, you must reach the edge and escape the flashing circle, similar to GTA games.

With regard to my luck, I did the following. Drive down any number of the side streets until you lose active pursuers. Then, drive to the northern edge of the circle and stop the car, (while still inside the police radius). Start a stopwatch. Once two minutes have passed (or perhaps 2:15 to be safe), drive out of the circle. Once it disappears, the achievement should pop.

In the event that you have passed this story mission, simply attract heat in story mode, lose the police in a similar fashion and then sit in the circle for the same period of time. The same principle applies. It is simply worth noting that you DO NOT NEED TO BE ACTIVELY PURSUED during this period, you must simply be in and then escape from the flashing circle after 2 minutes.

An easy way I got this was on the level right at the beginning where you are escaping through the Mardi Gras. When you have to run down the back alley before you get to the church, just stay here an wait out the two mins, then proceed to the church. Once you get out of the blue bubble it'll pop.

During the story, you will do a mission for Vito called "Get Michael Greco". Halfway through the mission you will be told to lose the cops, and a pursuit will begin. A timer comes onto the screen, giving you ten minutes. Jump on one of the highways and drive around for the 2 minutes, without losing the cops. After the two minutes is up, just do normal evasion, speeding, and changing your course, and lose the cops. The cheevo pops the minute you are out of the ring of pursuit.
