How to unlock the Brave One achievement in Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom - Definitive Guide

So by the end of the game it's very unlikely that you will have either Tepeu or your friendship level maxed out. Tepeu can go up to LV. 31 and your friendship can go up to LV. 21, you'll likely be around LV. 25 for Tepeu or possibly lower if you didn't get all collectibles and such, and then about 15 or so for friendship.

What you'll want to do is get all the way to the last save point, and beat the game. Then, go to your last save point and run back through Arkela Castle until you reach the room I believe to be called "Hall" or possible "Main Tower", it has two pillars that use to house two archers in the center of the room and there should now be about 9 soldiers there. This room is also where you had to turn off a large fountain.
What you'll want to do is first take them all out. then go over to the save point between the hall and the courtyard.

Now, what you'll want to do is save. After saving go to "Change Costume" and then leave that menu by pressing B. This respawns all enemies in the "Hall/Main Tower!"
Make sure you have at least one bar of magic and then go about half way to the enemies making sure they can't see you. Then press RB and target the closest enemy with Majin and tell him to use "Purification" on this enemy. Walk alongside Majin until he reaches the enemy you targeted. Now after he turns a bunch of them into crystals with one blast, press B to do one combo attack, move to another crystal and do another combo attack, and then simply press b to do your finisher. This should effectively kill all enemies in the room.

This should get you about 1000 shards for friendship per time you do it. And trust me, all you have to worry about is frienship cause Tepeu should be leveled far before friendship >_>

Oh yeah, after you defeat all those enemies, simply go and save at the same save point and pretend like you're going to change clothes but then just leave that menu and repeat!

To get more magic each time I would suggest going to the courtyard to kill the three soldiers, one is directly to the left and then two are off to the right and down the ledge.

With this method it shouldn't take you too long, so good luck!

Thanks to Daddyfatchops for this tip in the comments:
another good way to save magic and also build some up quickly is similar to wackowacko's comment. i always have the majin act on the puddle on the left, the golden guy that respawns soldiers likes to hide behind it, getting majin stuck, which can kill you quickly. if you freeze that puddle, along with 3 to 4 enemies and you're low on magic, do not press B on the crystalized enemies, simply hack away at them and watch you magic meter soar. you can completely fill your meter and still get a couple B finishers in, giving you a full combo bar and a full magic bar.

Thanks to AxGrynder for this great tip as well!
If you wear the Bandit 's Costume you get extra shards.

When you don't have enough magic, you can also ask Majin to "act" on the dark puddle. His purification breath will also affect enemies and you don't need any magic to do it.

I figured the same as Wacko Wacko, it definitely works!
I would also highly recommend using the Lightning Power, as it'll affect all enemies that touch you and the Majin as long as youre stood close enough together, it also works wonders in getting finishers fast!

Christ, I wish these comments re: the puddle were captured in the solution itself - I figured it out on my own and it makes the room super reliable and clearable in seconds. I was dicking around with getting my elemental powers up but with the puddle method, you just run up, spray, and usually have enough crystallized enemies to clear the room (the finisher does huge AoE).

To max out Tepeu's level you'll need to reach level 31 & to max out the friendship between Tepeu & the Majin you'll need to reach level 21.

It's really not a difficult thing to acomplish it will just take you a long time so find a place where the enemies respawn & settle in for a long haul.

I personally just ran between the Arkela Castle - Hall which has 7 enemies & the Arkela Castle - Main Tower which has 6 enemies after i'd finished the game.

And so that there's no confusion you have to go back & forth between these two areas so that the enemies will respawn.

MY GOD!
I stopped at level 30 and 20 because I thought it was gonna be all the way up to 40 and 30. Well at least now I know, then I can get 100% now without that much grinding :)

A note to ease the pain: equipping the complete Bandit costume enables extra Life and Friendship shards when defeating enemies.

Another thing you should point out: the enemies you meet at night (the ones you can drive away using RT+LB -Majin scream) if hitted release RED experience only, so you can use them to rise friendship... ok, not so much, but it's better than nothing! ;-D

Preparations:

* Find and wear the Bandit's Outfit (For this I recommend finding and opening every treasure chest in every area, besides you'll get another achievement by doing that).

* Give the Majin every fruit you find, especially the ones that boost his Elemental Powers.

* Get all the way to the Castle and through it to the last Save Point of the game, now backtrack to the Arkela Castle - Hall (where you turned off the first Dark Fountain thing). Here you should find 7 enemies, kill/evade them and go to the Save Point that is between the Hall and the Courtyard.

* Save your game, if you killed the enemies, select Change Outfit and inmediately press B (this way they'll respawn).

By the time you get here, and if you've been "cleaning" the areas of treasure chests, Tepeu's level should be around the twenties; his Max is Lvl. 31 and the Friendship Max is Lvl. 21.

Now, even though that when you use the Purification Spell on the enemies they freeze so it's easier to make combos and the Finish Attack, you'll only be getting around 1000 Friendship shards (which are the hardest to get). I've found out that if you use other spells like the Fire or the Wind ones you can kill the lesser enemies while keeping alive the white one causing it to respawn more enemies, which means more shards.

What you'll want to do is go with the Majin and make him stand still between the two pillars, far from the enemies so they don't attack you. Now press and hold RB as you get near the enemies, when they see you, fall back a little and order the Majin to use a Spell on them. After this, use the combos on the enemies that are closer to the white one so that it'll be send flying as far as you can from the others, this way you can unleash your Finish Attack without killing it.

When it gets up and respawn the enemies, run around the area (And keep hitting the "Follow" command!) so they regroup and then use another Spell, and repeat... It'll respawn the entire group 2 times, after that it'll only attack you. Kill him, go to the Save Point, choose Change Outfit again and repeat the process.

This way you'll get around 2000 FS shards per round, it'll still take a while to get the Friendship to Lvl. 21, but it's a lot faster than killing enemies randomly.

You have to know that you can always track back in this video game's world - also from the last Save Station that is. Now for the Solution regarding this Achievement and more:

Wear the Bandit's Wristguard and the Bandit's Costume. This will increase Life Shards, and Friendship Shards gain.

Seek a place where some Darkness Enemies gather. Send in the Majin with a Command to unleash one of its Elemental Powers. The Darkness Enemies will be stunned, petrified, are burning, or suffering electric shocks. Lightning is most efficient. Then head to one or more of those elemental infused Darkness Enemies, and cause damage on them for only a few times - it would be great to damage more than one of them. Then you shall bress B in order to perform a Combination Attack (Tepeu & the Majin together) which is then also based on an Elemental Power. If you have even damaged another Darkness Enemy just before, you shall do this performance once more - if not, it is required to damage an Darkness Enemy, before you can do. If this has not yet been a Finish Attack that is also based on an Elemental Power, surely your next attempt will be, providing you were fast enough to get the Combination Bar full, and then displayed in its full state onscreen. In the case Darkness Enemies get back in battle action, you shall let the Majin work out one of its Elemental Powers on the enemy again - swiftly build up the Combination Bar like this is most efficiently done the way I have instructed you to do actions. If the Majin's Elemental Power is short, you are unable to use it - damage Darkness Enemies, to reveal Darkness for the Majin to absorb, to fill the Elemental Powers Bar - this also helps to fill up the Combination Bar. The Combination Bar depletes after times solely - it can be taken from one battle, to the next if you are fast.

When a Finish Attack is performed, all enemies in the widened area of effect are defeated - this is the fastest way to gain both kinds: Life Shards and Friendship Shards. Get the Title of Legendary Hero (Level 30), and The Legendary Pair (Level 21). While you are building up the Combination Bar in order to unleash a Finish Attack that is even based on an Elemental Power rather quickly, it can be that Darkness Enemies with Shield and Sword will respawn at certain places, if you had defeated those during the fast actions. This means, that you never have to worry much about quantity of enemies. Just simply perform systematic actions to succeed fast and efficient!

The place to go - the best place - Arkela Castle, Main Tower (when backtracking): When passing by the Save Station when this one is closely placed to a wall, head out from the opening to the right, and see the six Darkness Enemies in the room to the left from the area you have just entered. That is the ultimate spot to defeat Darkness Enemies in order to do whatever you may miss, or just have missed to progress on Achievements' requirements regarding battling - besides Trap-related performances. When the battle is over and you still have to do more of such, you shall go back to that Save Station and select Change Outfit, after one second you press B. Go back to the six enemies. Do whatever you have to. After one hour, it is likely that you have finished with everything about battling - except Trap related stuff. I got one more battle input for you: The Darkness Enemy with the long arms is defenseless to Attack - it helps you when building up Elemental Powers Bar.

This is my solution to earning the Brave One achievement.

To earn this achievement, the game asks you to have your hero max out his level to 31, while the friendship needs to be maxed out at level 21. By the time you are done with your initial playthrough, you won't earn this achievement. It is possible, however, to grind before meeting up with the final boss.

First, let's begin with preparations, shall we?

-First of all, you will need to find every fruit and treasure in the game, including the fruits that enhance his elemental powers. There are three fruits to find for each power, four powers in total. If you are having trouble finding either the fruits or the treasures, please use the link below to find the ones you are missing.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=28...

-If you have followed the entire guide from the link I presented above, you should have every piece of clothing in the game. If you do, that means you have all the matching sets for each of them. You will need to find all the pieces for the Bandit outfit and have them equipped. They will give you extra Life and Friendship shards for each kill that you perform. You will need it.

-Once you earned every treasure chest and fruit in the game (you don't necessarily need memory shards, unless you are a collector and wish to earn those), you need to make your way to Arkela Castle and find/fight your way to Arkela Castle - Hall and Arkela Castle - Main Tower. You will need to clear out the enemies in both rooms when you first go through them. Otherwise, this will not work. Once that is accomplished, make another save.

Now that preparations are complete, this is what you will need to do.

-Arkela Castle - Hall has seven enemies, with the Main Tower having six enemies on the left side of the room where the four fountains used to be. With that in mind, for the Hall, target the enemy that's either on the left or the right side that's nearby the foot of the staircase. For the Main Tower, target the one in the middle. Make sure, for either room, that you stay out of sight while attempting to target. Once you have found your target, go ahead and command the Majin to use Purification. If done correctly, he will go on ahead and the enemies will spot him. He will use Purification, crystalizing them.

-You need to have at least up to four or five enemies become crystals for this work. Once that's done, DO NOT get onto either side of the Majin. If he does so, he will grab you and twirl you around, making you less successful. You need to be in front of him as you hit B, so that you can start striking the crystals, one at a time. If done right, get to another crystal nearby and hit B again. Tepeu will strike that crystal and from there, when you are nearby another crystal, hit B one more time (this is when the bar is full). If done right, both the hero and the Majin will unleash their finishing move, destroying all the enemies in that room. A lot of life and friendship shards should appear.

-You will need to go back and forth to each room to earn these kills. Once they are gone, immediately head to the nearest save point, pretend like you are switching out your costume, then immediately back out. All the enemies that you've killed will respawn, allowing you to repeat the described method above as much as you want. If you need more magic power, I recommend heading to Arkela Castle - Courtyard and starting a fight with the shielded soldiers, hitting them as quick as possible to regain all three magic bars. If you killed one and the other is stunned, have the Majin wait until you alone attack with your weapon until all the bars are filled, then go ahead and kill him as well.

If you follow the preparations I've laid out for you and do this correctly, you really won't have much to worry about. It is really all about grinding and it's very time-consuming, especially the friendship shards. If you have the Bandit outfit pieces all equipped, it should go a little faster. I found that if you clear the Main Tower room twice (you will need to respawn the second time), then the Hall area once, you will gain at least 3000 friendship shards at once. Then you will have to earn your magic power back and doing it all over again.

This is what I used and it helped me a lot. To see what you need to do, check out the video I included in this solution of mine. All credit goes to Achievaholics for creating and posting this video for everyone to see.

I hope my solution guide for this achievement helped out greatly and if given a negative vote, please tell me why and I will amend it as best as I can. Have fun and good luck!

Alright, this is going to be the biggest grind in the game, but even then it’s not too bad. In order to get this trophy you have to get Tepeu to his max level which is 31 and you have to get his friendship level with the Majin to max which is 21. By the end of the game I only had Tepeu at level 26 and the friendship level at 14 and I expect most people to be around the same as I fought every single enemy I came across.

Anyway, you level up Tepeu by collecting the life shards (blue orbs) that enemies drop when they’re defeated and you level up friendship by collecting the friendship shards (red orbs) that enemies drop when combination attacks or finish attacks are performed. You can check your current levels and the experience required to level up at any time by pausing the game and checking the Hero Status screen.

The best place to grind out this trophy (and the others that I referred to here) without having to wander all over the place looking for fights is the same place in the video I posted for the Battle Master trophy. Once you first enter this area and defeat the enemies in it, every time you go back here seven new enemies will continue to respawn there just as seen in the video. Defeat them, then run up the stair case and proceed down the right hallway until you enter the next room, look to your left and you will see another group of six enemies that you can farm kills on, defeat them and then go back the way you came, the original seven enemies will have respawned by now so fight them again. Do this over and over again until you get to max level. If you prefer to just stay in the first spot rather than running back and forth, another method to get the enemies to quickly respawn is to head to the the nearest save point change your costume and then exit. This respawns enemies immediately. Thanks to Aramintai for the tip.

By this point you probably have all the costume sets, luckily there are some pieces you can wear to help this process go a little quicker. The Bandit's Costume increases the amount of friendship shards that appear after a combination attack and the Bandit's Wristguard increases the amount of life shards that appear after a combination attack. Thanks to Mitsuru Kirijo for pointing this out.

While grinding experience here you can also be trying for any or all of the combat related trophies that you may have missed. There is also a couple save points nearby as well as some blue fruit to heal the Majin if needed. This might take a while depending on what levels you start doing it at, but I found it to be the quickest way to get it done and definitely the best place to grind for kills too.

Thanks a lot to Xan for originally pointing, myself and other users here, to this location in another thread.

To gain this achievement quickly, you need to order Mazin to wait at the entrance and quickly run through the arena and return to Mazin. All the bad guys will gather at the gate to give the order LIGHTNING AND THEN KILL THE ENEMIES.

You need to level up Tepeu to level 31 and his friendship with Majin to level 21. Tepeu is quite easy to upgrade, but friendship will have to be tinkered with. But there is a location that makes it easier to gain friendship, where you fought the first boss of the game, Caprakan. Go down and there will be three giants and six ordinary soldiers, to get more particles, you need to do chain attacks. After you defeat everyone, run to save, go to “change view”, and then exit the enemies will appear again. Here you can also get achievements for killing with chain attacks with wind, lightning, fire, purification and for defeating 50 enemies with chain attacks.
PS Enemies in this place appear only after you enter the “Castle of Arkela”; they have not appeared for me before.
