How to unlock the Big Bang achievement in Major League Baseball 2K10 - Definitive Guide

This isn't as hard as it sounds. Start up your game. Use the right stick and choose "play ball". You're going to want to be the team on the road so that you hit first. Statistically speaking the National League or American League All stars are the best teams, so choose one of those - however, I highly recommend the National League All Stars because HanRam leads off, who has homerun power, unlike Ichiro leading off for the AL, who is a singles hitter. The statistically worst team is the Pirates, so make them your opposition.

As soon as the game starts you're aiming to get that homerun. To do a power swing you have to pull back on the control stick then push forward instead of just pushing forward. If you fail to do it the first time hit start, move the right stick, choose quit in the top right, and go up to rematch aftewards. Took me about 10 tries.

No. It says "Pro or higher" which, in my mind, means a computer player on Pro or higher.

If you want to really make this easy on yourself just use the American or National League All-Star teams and switch Pujols or Josh Hamilton to be the lead-off hitter and BAMMM....you should be going yard in no time.

i did it with pujols being the cards putting him number 1 in the line-up against the nationals, there number 1 starter blows just as much as the whole pirates team. If it helps change the batting controls to classic so the button "A" is to swing, the achievement still unlocks as long as its Pro or higher, its how i did it

U know I actually got this by luck...I didn't even know this was an achievement. I was playing Franchise with the Braves and I got HR on the first pitch of the game with Nate McLouth

You can also do this with another person in a player or ranked match. What I did was bunt with my leadoff hitter, and have your opponent hold the ball and not throw it to anyone. Keep running around the bases and it will count as a homerun.

I was able to do this with the Yankees. Almost all of the starting lineup is capable of hitting a bomb.

I was the road team so that if I rematched I would be batting again. I also hit the HR with Robinson Cano, even though A-Rod and Teixera had much more power.
