How to unlock the Still Kicking achievement in Major League Baseball 2K10 - Definitive Guide

In order to even attempt this achievement, your pitcher must have low composure first. Your pitcher is rattled when the aiming icon on screen shakes around. The more it shakes, the more rattled he is. The easiest way to do this is just intentionally give up hits/home runs/walks etc. until you see your icon shaking. At this point you want to know your best pitches and throw them often. Look at the Batter/Pitcher match-up and see what the other guy doesn't like and where he doesn't like it. It'll be much harder to control speed and movement when you have low composure, so a bit of luck enters this as well. In any situation where I need a strikeout, I go fastball inside, change-up away (try to get the batter to chase outside the zone just a tad), and finish him with a breaking ball (curve, splitter, 12-6, etc.) that starts in the heart of the zone and breaks outside. Meaning, choose your breaking ball (the 12-6 curve works FANTASTICALLY) and ideally put it right down the middle, or somewhere nearby. The pitch will break as it reaches the plate, and, with a little luck, finish outside the zone. Batters in this game chase a pitch like that 90% of the time. The only guys who don't are few and far between and they have ridiculous plate vision to begin with. Again, a bit of this is luck because you won't have near the control over your pitches as you normally do, but you really shouldn't have too much trouble with this.

Note: Do NOT simulate ANY part of the game you are attempting to do this in. The achievement will not pop if you have simulated.
