From the main menu, choose Game Modes\Practice. Pick any of the four practice modes, and once it enters, press START to pull up the menu and change practice modes. Do this until you have selected the fourth practice mode, and the Achievement will unlock. You don't need to even throw a pitch, take a swing, etc. for the practice mode to be considered "tried".

The practice modes are in Spring Training. They just teach you how to play the game. No trouble at all.
