i did this with the blue jays not playing as them they have the easyiest cards

if you can find someone that has the cards that you need, you can play a ranked card game together. as long as you accomplish the goals for each specific player whos card you are going for they will unlock for you at the end of the game the exact same way they would if you got them in a single player game. and if you have someone helping you out it will be way easier to do the tasks to unlock all of the players that you need.

I did this by just playing through franchise/season mode. No matter what you're going to get everyone's card sooner or later. Otherwise here are some tips.
1) You can check out the requirements for each card by flipping to the back. There are two ways to get every card, so you can check those out. You can unlock cards in any mode but exhibition mode.
3) You can get a buddy to help you out online. Just let him be aware of the requirements for you to unlock the card and then go ahead and work towards them.
