In Episode 7 City of Doom you will have to jump over the barrels and not get hit. You can do this in story mode or you can do it in free play.
Advantage 1 - If you hit a barrel... don't totally quit... just load menu screen and click Restart Checkpoint and it should refresh you to the beginning of the jumpin level.
Advantage 2 - Yes you will have to jump over some barrels and you do have to time it right.... but I found the easiest way to get through the level was to cheat the corners and not necessarily jump directly over the barrels. When the barrel is going down the ramp and about to turn the corner, just hop up on the ramp rather after it passes and quickly get to the next turn and do the same if you can. It is much easier to go around the barrels than over them.
Advantage 3 - I do not know this for sure, but in freeplay you might be able to load someone who jumps higher and floats, like Falcon or Iron Man. If you are having trouble with a low jumper like Spider Man, you may have luck with a super hero like this.

During Episode 5, you come to a section where you have to jump over barrels whilst proceeding up a building (ala Donkey Kong). To unlock this trophy you need to reach the top of the building without hitting any of the barrells.
This will not unlock if you attempt this whilst playing 2 player coop unless both players reach the top without hitting any of the barrells.
