How to unlock the The Krogan achievement in Mass Effect 2 - Definitive Guide

After receiving the Krogan in the tank from Okeer on Korlus, go down into the Cargo Hold of the Normandy. Here, you will see Grunt still in the tank. After a short cut-scene with Shepard talking to the Ship's A.I., open the tank. You will then have a short conversation with Grunt. After the conversation, the achievement will pop.

You have to choose to open the tank to get the achievement.

It's also the Port Cargo Hold.
There's a Starboard Cargo Hold that houses Zaeed.
Names of rooms are above the doors at the each end of the hallway in deck 4.

This achievement should come normally throughout story progression, To get this achievement it requires you to recruit Grunt into your party. You can acquire Grunt into your squad by completing his recruitment mission "Dossier: The Warlord".

One thing to note is that you can fail to recruit Grunt so its best to save before opening his tank when on the Normandy, So watch your dialogue options carefully.

This will be one of the first four dossiers that the Illusive Man gives you. Your intention is to recruit Dr. Okeer to your cause. In order to get to Okeer, you’ll have to fight through Blue Suns mercenaries. It’s a linear path filled with plenty of mercenaries and krogan. When you reach Okeer, he tells you that he’ll help you if can save his pure krogan by killing the leader of the mercenaries, Jedore. This fight will involve Jedore (armed with a rocket launcher and armored), a YMIR mech, and several krogan. Once they’re finished off, head back to Okeer and finish the mission.

You’re not quite done with this trophy yet. Back on the Normandy, head down to the lowest level of the ship and go into the Port Cargo Hold and release Grunt. Once you complete the conversation and he’s on your squad, then you’re done.

Complete the Krogan Recruitment Mission. At the end of the mission, you will receive a container with the perfect krogan. Open it and the trophy is yours. If you do not open the incubator with the krogan, you will not receive the trophy.

In the mission, I advise the lucky owners of heavy weapons, after entering the room with Jedora, to run to the nearest container and release all the black holes that are in the direction of Jedora. This will remove her levels of protection. Then everything depends on the class. A sniper and an attack aircraft will finish her off without any problems. Once she is dead, the krogan will no longer emerge from the incubators. At best, you only have to kill one. And Ymir.
