How to unlock the Treason achievement in Mass Effect 2 - Definitive Guide

High Paragon/Renegade is almost a must for this loyalty mission because part of the mission revolves around a court trial. If you turn in the evidence about Tali's father she will not be loyal to you.

When you are requested to talk to Tali, some time after initially recruiting her for the mission, she will talk to you about going back to the quarian homeworld, choose to accompany her, and complete the mission she confronts you with once there, and the cheevo will pop. :)

EDIT: There are reports of not getting the achievement when you do present the evidence, this is probably due to you ignoring Tali's wishes, and thus not gaining her loyalty.

The first time I played this I presented the evidence during the trial and did not get the achievement. The second time I did not present the evidence and got the achievement. Just a tip in case someone else out there isn't getting the achievement after completing this mission.

If you get there and yu can't use the paragon option the Rally the Crowd option works well.

Talk to Tali in between missions. She is on the lowest deck of the ship, in Engineering. Loyalty missions will not be available until after the mission on Horizon is completed.

Upon your arrival in the Migrant Fleet, Tali will be notified of her trial for treason against the Fleet. She is accused of sending active geth back to the fleet and those geth assuming control of a quarian ship. Agree to retake the ship from the geth in order to clear Tali. Once you retake the ship and have the evidence, return to the hearing. Respect Tali's wishes at the hearing and do not use the evidence.

Once Tali’s and Legion’s loyalty missions are complete, then there is a chance that they will get into a fight and you’ll have to choose to side with one of them. The longer that you wait to complete both of their loyalty missions, the higher your paragon/renegade rating will be to either diffuse the situation, or get one of them back loyal again. With a high enough paragon/renegade rating, you can end the fight and keep them both loyal. Use either the blue or red dialogue option on the left side.

After you complete the mission on Horizon, all the characters in your party will ask you to help you with their personal problem. Just talk to the desired character and take the quest; your secretary informs you of all desires to talk to you, so it’s very difficult to miss.

Tali will ask you to help her in the Migratory Fleet's lawsuit against her. Talk to all the admirals after the first hearing to learn more about the underground infighting within the College of Admirals. Go to clear the ship. After you find out the truth about her father, return to the trial, but do not give up the truth about Tali's father and the trophy is yours. Otherwise, Tali may leave the team

If you turn your father in, you won't get loyalty. However, Tali will remain on the team.
