How to unlock the Under Pressure achievement in Mass Effect 3 - Definitive Guide

This achievement is unlocked through normal story progression and cannot be missed. It is the final achievement in the DLC.

After determining the source of the leviathan's transmissions, you travel to a planet to confront it. You will travel underwater and eventually a cutscene will play. The achievement will unlock after this, as the Normandy is loading.

The events prior to the underwater scene may be hard on higher difficulties, as it takes longer to get the charge to 100% and brutes will keep spawning if you let it fall too much. I recommend you keep moving and watch your health so that you don't get cornered.

The combat difficulty is probably even with the first section on Earth - assaulting the AA gun - and it's pretty much all Cannibals and Husks with a few Brutes towards the end. Not so hard but screw ups will cost you.

This achievement is story-related.

Back a third time to Bryson’s office. After the scene, no need to go outside, the mods didn’t respawn a second time, sadly. For fun, if you talk enough to James, you can take the Husk head with you on The Normandy. It will be in your room. Now play the next scene however you like, but know you can win 2 Paragon or Renegade points by acting, or not. After the scene, get back on your shuttle and get ready for the last part of this DLC.

As soon as you get down from the Kodiak, it’s christmas, but also one tough fight on Insanity. First, the christmas part. Right in front of you, one level below, is an opened container with lots of goodies outside: a M-55 Argus (you normally already have it, so it will give you 3 levels), a mod (an Assault Rifle Omni-Blade augment), some Star Charts for 2250 creds right of the container, and behind you some Survey Data for 2250 creds on the right side of the « tent » with ammo inside.

Left of this tent is another Survey Data worth 2250, some Pure Eezo Samples worth 2250 creds going towards your objective, and other Pure Eezo Samples worth 2250 creds as well a few meters away towards the ocean (on the left side when you look at Cortez). A little bit farther, near the water, is another easy to miss mod, a Pistol Cranial Trauma System. Regarding the fight, only the 2 Brutes could be a problem. Do not forget to check the destroyed Mech and also destroy every Artifact Sphere you see, as it might have an influence later on*.

After jumping the gap, some Mining Equipment is worth salvaging on the right for 1500 creds. Going towards Cortez is another easy to miss mod, same place as the one before, to the left near the water (Pistol Ultralight Materials).

You should now have every new AR and SMG mod up to level 3 and every new Pistol mod up to 4!

You have a Hydra behind Cortez. Talk to him and launch the next fight. Just Brutes, Husks and Cannibals. Keep your Hydra for the third pick-up when Brutes spawn 2 by 2 to help you in the last push towards the Mech. You have 2250 creds of Xenotechnology to salvage on the left of the Triton ADS before jacking it. Destroy everything, then EXIT your Mech.

*We are going to backtrack now. I am not sure when exactly during the last few battles all of this spawned, but there are new goodies at the beginning of the level. It may be because I destroyed all the Spheres (the last 2 are left of the Mech), or it just may be scripted. So, backtrack to the first container. You now have Skeletal Remains to check and 5 Datapads all around this area. They didn’t give me anything because I’m maxed, but maybe they will give you EXP. I’m pretty sure a lot of people missed this.

Now go back to your Triton ADS and go see Cortez. It's now just a long walk and a long chat until the end of this short DLC. After all the scenes, the Under Pressure achievement will unlock just as you end your chat with Ann Bryson.

Story related. If you want more info, continue reading. Otherwise, know that this will unlock through the natural progression of the story.

Once again, it's back to Dr. Bryson's lab on the Citadel. In the lab, keep following Ann around the lab and talking to her until she decides to use herself to track down Leviathan. After you have the location, head to Sigurd's Cradle. Depending on when you stopped the scan, you may have three possibilities for Leviathan's location. Unless you want to search and scan all three systems, go to Psi Tophet and scan the first planet from the sun, 2181 Desponia.

Shortly after landing and doing some exploring, the reapers will arrive. You will have survive a few waves (cannibals, marauders, husks, and brutes) before you can proceed. You'll be fending off the reapers long enough for Cortez to take off. Shortly after taking off, he'll crash again and you'll have to make your way to him. Talk to him and come up with a plan to reach the Leviathan.

In order to open up the doors to get to the Triton mech, you'll have to carry power cells from Cortez to the power socket while the reapers are attacking. You will need at least three since each cell only powers up 40% of the necessary amount of power. After you completely use up a cell, the charge will start to slowly drain. Leave the reapers for your squad mates to deal with (unless they get close to you) and just focus on carrying the power cells. Finish off the reapers once you take control of the mech. Once they're gone, go to Cortez and then get ready for a swim.

When you're underwater, follow the flares until you find the probe, and then shortly after Leviathan. After a lengthy, and interesting, conversation full of reaper backstory, Shepard will return to the surface and once the cutscenes are over, the last trophy in this DLC will unlock.

Story achievement: after the last visit to the laboratory on the Citadel, there will be three systems on the console for the possible location of Leviathan. It won’t be difficult to find two clues, then three Systems will be identified where Leviathan is possibly located. Fly to the Psi Tophet System, planet Despoina 2181. Repel the reapers’ attack on the wreckage of the ship, charge the batteries at the Atlas, and dive into the Ocean. The rest is a matter of technology.

This is not a plot event, but a DLC, it is activated in your personal journal/mail after reading a message about a meeting with Dr. Bryson in his laboratory on the Citadel. The marker and the task itself will appear only when you read a message about it in your email in your personal terminal and nothing else. After completing the DLC, you will receive a trophy. The same applies to the rest of the trophies from the DLC; without reading them in your personal terminal, you will not activate them.
