Amazing! I'm doing an Insanity run in ME 1 right now, I'll try this when I get to the end to see if that works.

Great find! This works even after completing the game. I guess that the romance scene just adds +1 to the romance counter. Luckily I had made a hard save before the final mission... Then I made another save just before travelling to Ilos just to be sure, then chose to land -> Romance scene begins -> Wait for achievement -> Dashboard/Shut down the game -> Resume -> Do it again

For the Insanity achievements, is it as simple as dashboarding after the achievement pops, reloading a save and finishing it again, and repeating?

I made a thorough solution for the insanity achievements, gave you guys a credit for the find, msg me if someone is not credited. Nice job!

So can I Romance Liara in my 1st run of ME1 but not carry that over to the rest of the trilogy since I want to romance Miranda and still get it?

I’ve romanced miranda but paramour 2 still won’t unlock, tried going back to romance liara and cannot, tried restarting and still nothing. I hope they fix this, playing on insanity too so if that doesn’t unlock either this is gonna suck.

Does anyone known when during the cut scene the achievement pops? Because I've done it on my first playthrough of me1, 2nd run on insanity and I'm unsure when to dashboard

Thank you. So when the chevo pop straight away dashboard and quit game and then press resume. Did a hard save before going to that planet.

Cheeseing the Parmour II and II seems to be the ONLY way to unlock them since achievement tracking doesn't seem to work properly between games.
I wasn't awarded the Paramour II or Insanity II achievements for ME2 and going back to ME1 also resets the Kill 250, 1000 and 2000 enemies achievements in ME2 and 3

Re-kindled the romance with my blue babe (Liara) in ME2, no achievement

Went back to my ME1 save just before Ilos, romanced Liara & the Paramore II achievement popped as the Normandy exited the Mass Relay jump

Reload my save, did the romance again, no Paramore III
Closed my game out, loaded another game up, closed that game out, reloaded ME1, did the romance again, Paramore III acheevo popped

Got all 3 paramour achievements using the dashboard method after the achievement pops. Worked perfect.

Considering the cheese method resets the counters for the 250, 1000 and 2000 kill achievements, has anyone been able to unlock the Long Service Medal achievement? Just wondering because this method resets the playtime clock when you check your saves as well

I just reloaded my save and played through the romance scene two more times and the achievements all popped (no dashboarding required).

Liara’s romance doesn’t count in the second game because it’s DLC.

No need to dashboard; delete the following autosave and reload your manual one.

Why do People Downvote thou? Are your asses itching just because you can cheese those cheevos? Not cool.

Probably the only way to get this achievement at present since ME2 and ME3 romances are glitched and don't unlock for me.

Same as people mentioned above…did the romances in ME1, waited until ME3 for the last cheevo and it didn’t unlock, what trash programmers, using this method to get into a new play through on ME1

In case anyone was curious after Fillipe's comment, I did my first paramour achievement, let the cutscene play and the reloaded the checkpoint without dashboarding. Paramour 2 did not unlock. After dashboarding and quitting the program, I restarted the checkpoint and it did indeed unlock.

Just a clarification, you do indeed seem to need to quit the game for the achievement to trigger multiple times.

Can confirm this works. Just make a manual save before travelling to Ilos. You don't need to watch the whole cutscene, just dashboard+quit when the cheevo pops 👍

It may be petty of me but I give coward downvoters a week to explain themselves or I remove my solution. You took the time to come here to write a solution, and they can't be bothered to write a comment? I have always been an advocate for mandatory comments for downvotes but it has always been something the general community here doesn't want

This works perfectly by the way +1 and it apppears that it can't be unlocked legit, so it's broken unless you use a method like this. What a poor effort from BioWare

Not petty at all mate. I stumbled on a win and the first thing I wanted to do was share it with my community so everyone here can reap the cheevo benefits, cheese and all. I didn't have too either hey, could have been selfish and kept it to myself! But that's not how this community rolls! Hence my edit comment... Can you romance in 2 and 3 and come back with a different character and romance in 1?

I romanced Ash in ME1, then went on to romamce Jack in ME2. The first unlocked, the second didn't. I just went back to my save on ME1 played through the Ash sex scene twice and they both unlocked. The achievement seems completely broken in a legit form, you can only get it from reloading the same encounter multiple times

yup got this in me1 tried me3 a few times but then finally went back to me1 and it unlocked

Wetwork, there is no old fashioned way. The reason I had to cheese the achievements is because they didn't unlock doing them legit

Stuck in a weird place where I unlocked both Paramour 1 and 2 during my first playthrough but figured I'd unlock it with miranda on ME2....did not unlock, so ill be hoping my ME3 run pops it. If not, this update may have made these more tricky/impossible to get, if anybody runs into the same problem but finds a solution please post!

@Kittens - had the same experience, getting Paramour I on my initial play through of ME1 and II in ME1 NG+ for Insanity run. Nothing popped in ME2, but I did get III during my first run of ME3 after the patch earlier this week.

This is bullshit I know I missed getting both this romance one and insanity 2 so I got both 2 romance and 2 insanity on 3rd game then went back and replayed the whole of number 2 again and 3rd ones for both didn't unlock still. I really want this to be done, any help would be great.

I did Paramour and Insanity legit across my trilogy playthrough. Like others, I had trouble getting them to unlock in 2 and had to do the "load up ME1 then go back to ME2" workaround. I just finished up ME3 and neither of them popped.

I went back to ME1, replayed the romance scene and final boss fight from previous saves, and both Paramour III and Insanity III finally unlocked.

@Arteen. Had ME1 already popped a paramour achievement for you...as in paramour 1 on your first playthrough?

@Eds Killerbox 7 I had Paramour I and Insanity I unlock normally during my ME1 playthrough in May.

@Eds Killerbox 7, I can't unlock it either. Got save files from right before the romance scenes in all 3 games, and played them all countless times. No succes.

Started a new game after the patch, ran trough the missions until the romance scene, and still no succes. So annoying... hoping anyone finds a solution.

Thanks all for your inputs and keeping this conversation alive. Bummed to hear that people are having issues post patch ... remember the kill count issue post patch? You had to redo all the kills and x specific kills to make them count again? Wondering if its similar? Just saw that @Hasseldorf ran it through clean with no success so probably not. WEIRD. If someone finds a sure fire way to get this to unlock using whatever method please comment here or message me direct so I can update the solution to help our community out as much as we can!

I just unlocked paramour III post patch. I did the scene in ME3 several times before giving up. Then I decided to try the old way and replayed the love scene in ME1 with no luck. I then replayed The love scene from ME2, and bingo achievement popped. I romanced Liara, Miranda, Liara for what it’s worth.

I've also, finally, unlocked Paramour III. It unlocked on my new post patch made save file, after first loading up ME:2, saving there (removing the resume from ME:1 in the launcher), and going back to ME:1.

So maybe the patch did fix it on new playthroughs, but it still requires the ''reset'' ?, or maybe I just got lucky this time. IDK, but happy I got all achievements now, goodluck to everyone else trying to unlock this.

Doing my insanity run on ME1 finally unlocked it. YEY!

Paramour 3 finally popped for me last night. It was on my 3rd romance in ME2. Altogether it took 7 romances across all 3 games. And yet not one of the 3 cheevs popped for ME3? This spoilt the game for me, having to speedrun the games I luv. Bioware should be ashamed.

I just unlocked Paramore III by doing the ME1 trick with ME2. Unlocked right away for me.

The paramour achievements still don't work even romancing three times in one game. I have romanced Liara in both ME1 and ME2 and only got Paramour 1.

If I look at achievements in Mass Effect 1 then Paramour 1 shows as unlocked, if I jump to Mass Effect 2 and look at achievements Paramour 1 is blacked out, when I jump back to ME1 to double check Paramour 1, it becomes blacked out even though it was unlocked.

It keeps greying them out in ME1's medals.i finally got all 3 unlocked, yet returning to 1, it shows them all greyed. If I load and complete one romance, they all light up again...till I quit game. It's a mess.

Might have been patched. (Dammit.) Replaying Liara in ME1 is not popping II or III.

Romanced Liara in 1, Garrus in 2, and Liara again in 3. Paramour 1 popped as expected. Romancing Garrus didn’t give it, and then I got 2 in ME3 with Liara. Hopefully I didn’t get screwed...

Yeah can also confirm that this does not seem to work anymore which is a shame. Might still be do-able for people with disc versions by doing the uninstall/re-install offline method but can't confirm.

Okay, I had saves from just before the Suicide Mission in 2 and Ilos in 1, so I went back and tried those. Went through the cutscene before the Omega Relay and nothing happened, so I went back to 1 and redid the scene before Ilos. After the entire romance scene was finished and it started the pre-mission scene, it popped!

Achievement is still glitched.

Did not pop up for me when I locked the Romance in ME3, when the scene happened also in ME3, it did not pop up with ME2 romance scene.

Now to replay ME1, sigh

After the small recent update, the in-game medals for all 3 games now show all achievements earnt. It's astounding that there still seems to be probs with them actually unlocking.

I did NOT romance Liara in any of the games, but shortly following the , I spoke to her in the Presidium Commons, and this popped by using friendly dialogue.

This achievement is bull.

Adding on to this:

I Liara'd 1, 2, and 3. Only Paramour 1 popped my first playthrough.

Thankfully I'm a diligent saver, and had Saves for everything to try this out.

1. I went back to Mass Effect 2, right before the the finalization of the IFF installation, and started a romance with Garrus (Thankfully these don't take much time). I was able to romance him, and then Paramour II unlocked.
2. Tried again with Mass Effect 3 with my initial Save, but that still didn't pop III.
3. Went all the way back to my ME 1 save, right before landing on Ilos, did the romance scene with Liara again, and somehow the achievement popped for Paramour III.

So, I guess, TL;DR,

After finishing the game, Romance someone in 2, then go back and re-romance in 1, and that should pop the achievement, or at least it did for me.

Getting ready to start this, annoyed with myself for waiting. If anyone else has success cheesing this or insanity please let the community know:)

Just unlocked this achievement (Aug 8th), so hopefully this helps someone in a similar situation:

After romancing Ashley for all three games, I loaded up and replayed saves prior to the romance scene in ME3, ME2, and ME1 (in that order) to no avail.

Luckily in my Mass Effect 2 save, I talked to Jack enough just before the conversation about her former partner, meaning I never locked in her romance. Choosing the right options, I locked in the romance, launched the Suicide Mission, and the achievement popped when I got Jack's scene!

I'll post my story for this Achievement, which was strange. Achievement unlocked 8th of August 2021.

I romanced Liara in ME1, Paramour I popped like it should before Ilos, during Liara's visit to Shep's cabin. In ME2 I romanced Tali all the way to the end, but no Paramour II. Should've gotten it, so it must've bugged out. After completing ME2 I loaded a save from ME1 just before Ilos and Liara romance scene, and that popped Paramour II. In ME3 Paramour III popped when talking to Liara in Presidium Commons after she invited Shep there to talk, this was sometime after Priority: Citadel II and before going to the Quarians. It was when they confessed their love and Shep said he wanted to spend his life with her.

Just a heads up from me, keep saves from the first two games handy, if something goes wrong.

Can confirm that you can seem to romance in any order of games as long as you do it once in each game. I missed romance chance in me1. Romanced in me 2 and me3. Went back and romanced in me1 and it unlocked.

Popped it today.

ME1 romanced Ashley. Paramour I popped as it should have.

ME2 romanced Miranda and Paramour II did NOT pop.

ME3 romanced Miranda in the apartments and Paramour II popped.

Loaded a save from the ME1 main menu prior to going to Ilos (Virmire right before the bomb for me). Went to Ilos to trigger the ME1 romance scene with Ashley again and Paramour III popped.

Popped today having started the game on the latest software version (June 7 update + June 28 hotfix) on Series console.

Achievements for the game are mostly popping as normal. Had a few extras needed for combo powers in 1 and 3, but for Paramour, everything was as intended.

ME1: Popped when it should have during the scene in the cabin
ME2: Popped when it should have prior to going through the Omega-4 Relay (I understand you cannot get this with Liara since its coded like when ME2 first came out. Needs to be with one of the "standard" squad romances)
ME3: Popped when I locked in the relationship with a character on the citadel during my first visit AFTER completing the "Priority: Citadel II" mission.

Yeah, for whatever reason in ME2 Liara doesn't count toward's paramour achievement.

I romanced Liara throughout ME1, ME2's Shadow broker DLC and finally in ME3. When i didn't get the paramour III cheevo after ME3's romance cut-scene played I booted an old save on ME2 were I had completed thanes loyalty mission and began to romance him instead.

When i knew that Thane's romance was locked-in i simply started the Omega 4 jump, the romance cut-scene played and i got the cheevo.

Achievement is still bugged for me:
Liara ME1
Jacob ME2
Liara ME3

I have saves for ME2 and ME3, and repeated romance scene, but no pop. I'm pretty sure i got the first one from ME1.

3rd achievement did not pop, but second one did. I missed ME 2 romance, but went back to get it on another playthrough. However, it still will not pop. I got all achievements, but this one.

i just tried the cheese method and it did not work. dashboarded right after the achievement popped and II did not pop after i went back through the sequence of ME1

No, they do NOT have to be with the same character, like the description says "Establish or rekindle a romantic relationship".

Also, I think the reason why romancing Liara in ME2 doesn't count is because she isn't technically part of your crew. - After romancing her again in ME2 and the cheevo not popping, I went and romanced Miranda and it popped without issue.

New game plus doesn't up the count for this, and the game juggling ilos trick doesn't seem to work anymore. I intentionally skipped a romance in ME2 figuring I'd get this in NG+, but I guess it's now impossible to unlock as a lesbo shep

If you miss ME1 but get ME2&3, can you go back to do ME1 to unlock?

I got it in 1, missed it in 2 and got it in 3, then started a new game in 1 hoping to get Paramour III in 1 again but it didn’t work. Rip

After finishing the second game and not get the second achievement related to this I decided to open the first game and reload the save just before I selected the Ilos mission and the Paramour II popped up; I went to dashboard and reloaded and got this one...
Meaning I didn't dashboard the first time and this still worked just FYI

Got all 3 doing by saving before the point of no return in ME1 and redoing the Liara romance scene. Dashboarded once I got the achievement, reloaded the game and repeat.

Paramour 3 is now the only achievement in the entire MELE I can't unlock. Priceless since I've had 5 romances. They say they've fixed it, but my save point on the Ashley reromance for ME3 won't unlock it? Are they really saying a whole new playthrough is needed. Should have left the glitch.

@Arteen Whew, sounds like I might be in the clear. I did the same as you: I played ALL of ME1 in May, but haven't started ME2 or ME3 yet.

Sounds like if i just go reload one of my 25 saves i made (I just KNEW all those saves might come in handy), specifically the one right before the romance scene and play it out thru to the end, i should still get Paramour 2/3 AND Insanity 2/3 when I compete ME2/ME3.

This appears bugged for me as well. I locked myself in with Liara across all 3 games and no Paramour III unlock. I was lucky enough to get the first 2 by loading up the first game's romance scene twice (should have done it 3 times!), but cannot for the life of me unlock the third. I have loaded up all three games and their respective romance scenes multiple times now and even went back to ME2 to romance Tali to no avail. IF anyone has any specific tips, I would greatly appreciate it. Otherwise, I guess waiting for another update will be my only hope without starting from scratch.

I had saves before Ilos and Assaulting Cerberus in ME1 and ME3 respectively (though I heard that ME3's pops when you lock in the romance, not when you bang).

I repeated them a bunch and never got the third cheevo. I then went through ME1 and did a new romance. No dice.

On my initial playthrough, I romanced Ashley in ME1, had Kelly feed my fish in ME2 (does not count as a romance) and romanced Ashley again in ME3.

This made me suspect that I might get the third if I went through ME2 and got a new romance.

I banged Jack 🤮 and the achievement popped.

Must be a bug in the current version of ME LE on Xbox. I romanced Liara in ME1 -> unlocked Paramour 1. I romanced in two different runs Jacob and Miranda -> did NOT unlock Paramour 2. Then in ME3 I romanced Liara again -> unlocked Paramour 2. So the romance in ME2 does not count towards the Paramour achievements at the moment.

UPDATE: Solution really seems to be to replay the Ilos Mission in ME1. I loaded my old save before Ilos and just started the Ilos mission, saw the Liara romance scene again. Then it unlocked. Yay!

I missed Paramore I on my first playthrough sadly so I reloaded an old save before Feros/Virmire and did my conversation before Feros, then again after. After Virmire (make sure to kill off the other LI you may have started) when you return to the Citadel and the Normandy gets locked down, there will be a cutscene to ensure you have locked the romance in. Then I made a save right before the final scene. Went to Ilos to trigger the scene, and after the cheevo popped I dashboarded as people advised. Reloaded the save I just made, got Paramore II, and repeated a third time for Paramore III.

Ok, so after being stuck in the spot of missing the final romance for over a year after i did the cheese method, I pulled up a checkpoint on all 3 games. I romanced 100% on ME1 and ME2 and kept attempting with those saves as I did not have a save near a romance on ME3. Went back and did just a small amount of work to get Ashley and it popped. So for those of you who did the cheese like myself and it won't pop, go attempt the game you may not be 100% sure you romanced on and give it a shot. Glad this is finally done!
