How to unlock the Renegade achievement in Mass Effect - Definitive Guide

While on Noveria, after you obtain Lorik Qui'in's data forcefully make him testify to help the internal affairs agent. After this is done you will get +25 renegade points. Before you leave talk to him again, question him on matriarch benezia, then scroll to ask another question, a new set of options will pop up including one to testify against anoleis, press that one to get him to testify again you will get another +25 renegade points. This can be repeated until you get this acheivement.

Edit: As of March 31/2017 this has still not been patched! Feel free to rack up all the Renegade/Paragon points to your hearts content (Thanks to DarkWingSpartan for last reporting in)

If you pick the 'Blue' option here you will get paragon points so basically you can get both of the achievements at the same time at this point. Nice work.

@ Badboydie360: Theoretically, couldn't you save BEFORE you partook in this glitch and then after you got the achievement(s), load it and then not do it? Please correct me if I am wrong, because I would like to avoid the glitch myself.

Great guide, because I didn't have do a renegade play through. Kept hold of 4 skill points for intimidate (had 1 I must have gotten for free) and saved before the renegade dialog option. Deleted save afterwards. Worked very well - thanks for this.

I think I did something wrong. I was able to intimidate Lorik once, but choosing the Matriarch dialogue option did not cause the intimidate choice to appear again.

Just another add point to add (mass effect wiki as the source):

Using the "Lorik Qui'in Glitch" to acquire unlimited Paragon and/or Renegade Points has been known to corrupt save files. Thus, certain decisions made in Mass Effect are flagged as the opposite choice. This can prevent certain characters from returning in Mass Effect 2, or certain emails from being sent to Shepard. To prevent any corruption of data, it is highly advised and stressed to avoid the glitch if carrying over the save for import since it is not required to maximize Paragon and Renegade Points.

This solution is a bit misleading. It would be great if you added 'Lolatron's' contribution, that you need either 5 points in charm or intimidate for this to even be an option. Great find, other than that!

Got it today. Only took 4 cycles, but I had been working on Renegade this playthrough. Glad I can go back to Paragon. Renegade Shep is a whiny brat!

During conversations mainly use the bottom right hand dialogue selection and if you're intimidate skill is up high enough use the bottom left selection (red text) during dialogue for maximum renegade points.

A couple high gain renegade areas are:

1. Feros: When coming back from killing the Thorian, do not use the gas grenades, but instead kill ALL the colonists, if you get them all I think it will net you 32 renegade points.

2.Noveria: After helping Lorak Quinn (sp?) to get the garage pass, the internal affairs lady will want you to get him to testify. Forcefully make him testify and you will get 25 renegade points.

3. Noveria:(Main Plotline) If you decide to kill the Rachni Queen rather than save her, you will get about 25 renegade points.

4.Virmire: When confronting Wrex, simply kill him. +25 Renegade.

Before going to Virmire make sure you have recruited Wrex. Stupid me didn't do that and now I might have to do another playthrough to get this achievement, unless I can pick up the extra points along the way.

I would like to add that on Noveria, if you decide to kill the Queen, another generous heap of Renegade points will be given to you. 25, I believe.

i know this is super late but on Noveria tell Administrator Anoleis that Parasini is an internal affairs officer. he kill her and himself and you get 25 renegade points add that to forcing lorak quin to testify its a nice 50 renegade

There is a neat little trick to speed this up quite a bit.

For the Intimidate option to be available during this conversation you will need to spend 5 points on the skill.
