When you begin X-Challenge, go in Easy or Normal and then you need to press 
to skip the weapons select and begin the fighting. Your first opponents will be (or should be) Chill Penguin from X1 and Frost Walrus from X4.

If you’re having trouble, you can get this achievement while playing challenge mode on Easy.

You can destroy Chill Penguin's ice statues with Buster shots, repetitive uncharged or a single charged Buster shot, they're not invincible. Literally the only time Chill Penguin is invincible is when he boost-slides across the room and back. His ice shots can also be destroyed with half- or full-charged Buster shots as well.

Complete a single X Challenge stage with just the X-Buster. It’s suggested to do this on Easy, on the first mission. Do not select any weapons, just go in with the X-Buster. If you selected weapons, press 
to deselect all weapons (if all three are picked).
