Mega Man X Legacy Collection

Pretty much this is the same strategy that Hybrid Reeha used for his guide to Speed Isn't Everything. After defeating 2 Mavericks and triggering a cutscene, you will unlock hidden rooms containing a teleport capsule leading to Vile's hideout.

I recommend beating Tunnel Rhino and Volt Catfish first, in that order, and then go to Crush Crawfish's stage. Do NOT use ANY of the Ride Armors at all in the stage! Play the stage until you reach a small overhang with a life energy capsule beneath it. There's a hidden hole in the floor right under this overhang leading to the teleporter to Vile.

Vile first attacks you with a Ride Armor, which you must destroy first before he fights you himself. He'll have 2 attack patterns: first, he'll jump and drop a napalm mine that emits a small column of fire at you. Second, he'll jump up high and fire multiple shots at you in whichever direction you're standing/climbing at. Wall-climb up and air dash over Vile when he drops his napalm, and wall-climb up to shoot him while making his shots come at you while you drop down or slide down to miss you. Rinse and repeat.

Use ONLY your X-Buster to fight Vile, both in his Ride Armor and Vile himself; NO special weapons, period! I also suggest gathering up a few heart tanks and sub tanks prior to fighting Vile.

- After the miniboss room, you will find a dark hallway with some lamps and at the end of that hallway, a staircase with a hole just below. Go down the hole and find Vile's teleporter.
- ATTENTION, only use the Mega Buster! You can turn on Rookie Hunter mode to make the battle much easier.

The following password gives you all subtanks, heart tanks, armor pieces (no enhancements, just upgrades), no Ride Armor Chips, Bit and Byte both dead, and all but Blizzard Buffalo and Toxic Seahorse defeated.

You can do this with Rookie Hunter Mode enabled, and it's highly suggested. With it turned on, you can literally just sit on the left side spamming cn_X to shoot Vile's Ride Armor between hits from his Ride Armor's spike-punch without taking any damage whatsoever, and subsequently, same for Vile himself once you destroy his Ride Armor.

Once you plug in the password, go to Crush Crawfish's (completed) stage, go down the first big drop, head to the right past the sub-boss room, cross a pit, take out the small green walker, then drop through the floor under the walker's platform to find the teleporter to the factory. Once in the factory, head to the right, go down, then right again at the bottom, jump on the elevator up, don't bother with the energy powerups, you won't need 'em, then head right and into the boss door to find Vile teleporting in on his Ride Armor. As previously stated, with Rookie Hunter Mode on, just sit in the left corner and shoot the Ride Armor between punches from the Ride Armor. After you destroy his Ride Armor, Vile will jump out and start to attack you directly, but you can just sit in the corner plinking away at him. Once you drain Vile's life meter and he teleports out or explodes (he'll most likely teleport out since you won't be using his weakness, Ray Splash), the achievement pops.
