I viewed 20 images on each of the 4 Mega Man X games just to be safe. Then I beat Mega Man X unlocking the Secret Wallpaper. Then I started a Mega Man X game up and paused it, pressed Select to get to the Wallpaper menu and selected the Secret Wallpaper. The achievement popped right then.

Same thing happened with me. Y'know, Capcom epically failed in their descriptions for this achievement AND Audio Signal Incoming.

Yes they did. Still not sure what secret song is needed for the Audio Signal Incoming achievement or how to unlock that. Maybe after 100%ing all mega Man X games on this collection?

I cannot get thisnachievement to pop. I’ve looked at 20 images in the museum and set the wallpaper on every game to every one of the available wallpapers including both secret ones AND the X Hunter one. Any help?

You need to look at 20 images in EACH of the X games, all 4 of them. Do that and make sure your have a Secret Wallpaper equipped in game, you might have to reload the game once you view the remaining 60 images you needed.

You need to go into the gallery and just cycle through all the images in each game using shoulder buttons, you can cycle through them pretty quick. Then I loaded up the first game and chose “special 1” wallpaper I think and it popped instantly.

Ugh, I have to beat Mega Man X to get this achievement? Damn, I was hoping all I had to do was skim through the gallery.

I dont know that you have yo beat X but you at least have to beat one of the games on here first I believe.

You don't have to beat Mega Man X to get this, just beat X Challenge (yes, you can do it on Easy, I did), and I believe if you obliterate enough of the Credit Roll with the Beam Saber (I pretty much destroyed about 70% of it), you'll get the secret music track as well as the wallpaper, the notifications came up for me post-credits, then I went into Mega Man X (which I haven't beaten yet, stuck on Sigma 1 for some dumb reason), and changed the wallpaper to Special 1, and the achievement popped.

After beating a game a secret image is unlocked.

Open the gallery and quickly cycle through each image for each game, viewing at least 20 each. Then launch one of the games to view the secret image and set it as new wallpaper. The wallpaper is what displays on either side of the 4:3 window when playing one of the four X games. This is done in a game by pressing and selecting Wallpaper. You should have Special 1 or Special 2 to select in addition to the normal options.

If the Wallpaper was already set before looking through the gallery, just chance it to another wallpaper and back to the special wallpaper and the trophy will pop.
